  • Class Act: During the football practice scene, "U Can't Touch This" is heard.
  • The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley shows Elizabeth entering the Theranos break room as “U Can’t Touch This” plays once the company gets FDA permission for a test. It turns out the choice of song was much Tempting Fate, as soon Theranos will be a massive fraud. The song even plays during the documentary's credits!
  • White Chicks: When the main villain admits he's broke, one of his daughters asks if he means "Martha Stewart broke or MC Hammer broke". He says he means MC Hammer broke and his daughters are horrified.

Live-Action TV

  • The Amen episode "Three Men & A Hammer" has Clarence fantasizing about becoming a famous rapper just like MC Hammer, even planning to drop out of school to pursue his dream. The Reverend calls Hammer, who's in town for a concert, to get him to talk some sense into him, allowing Clarence to meet his idol and get some good advice.
  • Farscape. In "The Peacekeeper Wars", E = MC Hammer became a trope after Harvey (channeling Albert Einstein) writes it on a blackboard with other nonsense.
  • In Living Color!:
    • One episode has a parody of "U Can't Touch This" where Hammer (played by Tommy Davidson) ends up entangled in his gigantic Hammer pants.
    • Another episode has a parody of "2 Legit 2 Quit" named "Too Sold Out To Quit" that discusses his many corporate sponsorships.
  • Saved by the Bell:
    • One episode had Screech claiming that the Zack Attack is cooler than M.C Hammer. This somehow annoys Lisa, who then says that if he doesn't be quiet, she's going to hit him with M.C.'s hammer.
    • In "The Aftermath", Lisa pouts that her father apparently went back on his word on promising her whatever she wanted for her 16th birthday, which was M.C. Hammer at her party.
    • In "The Wicked Stepbrother", Zack bribes Lisa to date Eric with Hammer tickets.
  • Full House: In "Gotta Dance", Danny expresses encouragement at Stephanie's recital, but also mentions that she's as good as "that McHammer guy.
  • The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air:
    • In "Courtin' Disaster", when Will displays his basketball skills at a game, the song "U Can't Touch This" plays in the background.
    • Another early episode has Will and Ashley dancing to some music, and the former tells her "let's have less George Michael and more Hammer, please".
  • Married... with Children: Bud is a fan of the rapper, even at one point claiming to a girl that he's trying to date that he actually learned his dance skills from him.

  • A Different World: In the season three Christmas Episode where the students begin to sing their version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas", the "A partridge in a pear tree" line is replaced with "An M.C. Hammer CD".
  • Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The episode "Principia" reveals that Mack used to be a fan of MC Hammer, earning him the nickname "Mack Hammer". Later on, when the team has to retrieve Gravitonium from the titular floating ship, Coulson makes an obligatory "can't touch this" crack, which visibly annoys Mack.
  • Sesame Street: An episode has Elmo take on the persona of MC Hammer as MC Elmo and performs a catchy rap about the number 5.
  • Person of Interest
    • In "Guilty", The Machine makes sure that Harold Finch is selected for jury duty by ensuring an alternate candidate's mobile plays "U Can't Touch This" loudly during selection. He's sent off complaining that he doesn't even listen to that music.
    • In "Aletheia", Sameen Shaw comes up with this line before blowing something up despite Finch's objection. "There's a time for a scalpel and a time for a hammer. It's hammer time."

  • Eminem's "Just Lose It" includes a brief parody of "U Can't Touch This", and the video has Em dressed as Hammer.

  • Pokémon Reborn: At the end of the chase scene in the postgame, Terra lets out a "STOP!!!" before pulling out a gigantic mallet and saying "Hammer time" before bowling everyone else involved in said chase.

  • When Beavis And Butthead watched the video for "Super Freak", they immediately noted "Hey, it's Hammer Time!"
  • Doug: In "Doug Can't Dance", Doug has a fantasy about being a great dancer that showcases him as a Hammer-esque dancer (complete with the baggy pants).
  • Family Guy: "E Peterbius Unum" has Peter singing a parody song called "You Can't Touch Me" to show his newfound diplomatic immunity after creating his own nation.
  • The Simpsons:
    • "Homer the Vigilante" has Homer using a musical megaphone toy of Bart's to patrol the neighborhood, but due to the rap music playing over it, all the kids believe that it's Hammer and begin dancing in the streets to it.
    • "Bart Gets Famous" has Bart recording a cover of "U Can't Touch This" with the words of his catchphrase "I didn't do it" as M.C. Hammer looks on at the switchboard and calls his skills proper.
    • "A Star is Burns" features a group of rapping rabbis singing about not eating pork to the tune of "U Can't Touch This".
