  • Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey: When Ted's dad arrests De Nomolos, Death says, "Book 'em, Danno!"
  • Jerry Maguire: The morning after Jerry sends out his mission statement to everyone in his company that's at the hotel, he's drying off after showering, and an episode of Hawaii Five-O is on, which makes him have a My God, What Have I Done? moment, and he calls the desk to try and stop delivery of those mission statements, but he's too late.

  • In an episode of COPS, "Five-O" is used as street slang for the police.
  • The West Wing: In the first season episode "The White House Pro Am", Josh drags Toby to a meeting he doesn't want to go to, because it involves a bill that's going to pass easily. Josh suggests the two of them Good Cop/Bad Cop the people they're meeting with, but Toby testily rebuffs him, pointing out, "This isn't Hawaii Five-O."
