Something strange has happened to all of the traffic signs in Night Vale. Meanwhile, Intern Dana investigates the blinking light on top of the mountain.

- Suspiciously Specific Denial: Due to the crowd amassing outside City Hall to complain about the malfunctioning traffic signs, the City Council are at City Hall waiting to receive the complaints of their constituents, and not hiding in a hastily-dug hole in Mission Grove Park, keeping as still as possible and breathing through their dirt-gills until this all blows over.
- Take Our Word for It: Cecil doesn't tell us how he was saved from the hypnotic malfunctioning traffic signs, but whatever happened, it was so unlikely that he thinks it will become one of the tales told every year on Frightening Night.
