The episode starts off with a flashback to ten years ago, on October 31, 2016. We see a six-year-old Nia Thompson wearing a blue princess costume, alone, in a dark park. She is sad that she lost her parents. From a bench, a five-year-old Lexi in a pink and lavender princess costume notices her and tells her mom that a lost girl is over there and could be in danger. Her mom says that that is their neighbor's daughter, Nia, so they decide to help her.

Lexi asks Nia if she needs help and Nia says that she lost her parents. Lexi says her mom can help, and they introduce each other, learning that they're both in the same kindergarten class together, but Nia and Lexi sit across the room from each other, so they hadn't met yet. Lexi asks Nia if they want to be friends, and Nia says yes.

The flashback ends, and we see the present day, October 30, 2026, where Nia is telling Gregory and Lizzie the story of how she met Lexi on Halloween ten years ago. Nia says that then they found her parents who let her go trick-or-treating with Lexi, where she spent the night and they got a lot of candy, making Halloween a special holiday for them. Then they talk about their costumes. Nia is a superheroine named Electricia, from her favorite comic, The Adventures of Electricia. Gregory is in a black cat costume, and Lexi is wearing a costume of one of her inspirations, Marilyn Monroe. Lizzie is not wearing a costume since it's not Halloween yet, and she doesn't understand why everyone else is in costume if it was October 30th. Lexi says it's because Halloween is on Saturday that year.

Mason approaches the lunch table, where Mason comes wearing an angel costume. He is not very happy, because he has religious parents who are against Halloween and think it's devil worship so they only let him dress up as religious figures. Lizzie is sad that this means he can't come to her Halloween party, and Lizzie tells him he needs to learn the art of lying to his parents, and she says she can help him with that.

Suddenly, Nia is taken back to the unknown time where she is in the cell with the old lady, who tells Nia to stop acting dumb and that she's been tracking Nia for over a year to extract her time travel powers. Then, she gets sent back to the moment where she was in the cafeteria. Gregory asks if Nia is okay because she looked scared. Nia claims everything is fine. Then Lexi and Nia go into the hallway to talk, and Lexi can't believe that tomorrow will have been ten years since they met each other in Kindergarten. Lexi says she misses Kindergarten and would do anything to go back to those days. Nia says that they technically can now with their time travel powers, which gives Lexi the idea to revisit Kindergarten.

Nia says they shouldn't time travel anymore because ever since they've got their powers, she's been having those visions where is inside of a holding cell with the woman who wants to extract her powers. Lexi thinks it's just a daydream born from Nia having anxiety that if people find out about their powers they will try to steal them. However, Nia feels like she is actually there and doesn't think it's a dream and somehow she was forced to time travel there. Lexi isn't convinced because she knows that they both have to touch to time travel. She continues to ask her to let her time travel to kindergarten, and eventually, gives in.

They time travel back to 2016, and are in Lexi's kindergarten bedroom in their costumes. Lexi goes back to find the candy while Nia looks around in Lexi's bedroom and finds her old diary from Kindergarten and she figures Lexi wouldn't care if she looked at it since she is now fifteen. When she reads it, she reads a passage from September 30 that reads that Lexi hated Nia back in Kindergarten and it surprised her, making her wonder if Lexi still hates her secretly. When Lexi comes back, Nia makes her go back to the present day. When Lexi denies that she hates her, Nia thinks she's trying to trick her.

In the school library, Mason and Lizzie are hanging out and Lizzie is teaching Mason tips on how to sneak out of his parents house so he can sneak out to a Halloween party, such as putting his pillows under your sheets so it looks like he is asleep if she comes in to check on him. And since he snores, Lizzie tells him he can play a looped snoring video on his phone to trick his mom. Then he can climb out his window and go next door to Lizzie's house. Mason says he'll do it, but he's nervous about it and she reassures him that it will work.

In AVID class, Lexi is trying to apologize to Nia but she still doesn't understand what she did wrong. Nia tells her that she found her diary and it said that she hated her. And Lexi said that she didn't write it out her. She wrote it about someone named Mia who refused to share her crayons with Lexi, not Nia, but her handwriting was so bad that it looked like Nia. Nia apologizes for jumping to conclusions, and that she's just afraid of losing the people she cares about, like how she lost Ethan. Lexi tells her she has nothing to worry about.

When class starts, the teacher says that there is a college professor coming into class to speak today to ask questions about college admission and Nia is very excited, since she's planned on going to college since 6th grade. He introduces Professor Chelsea who works at Mendocino Community College, and Nia gets scared when she sees that Chelsea is the same woman that appears in her visions. She tells Lexi, who again dismisses them as daydreams. The teacher tells them to stop having side conversations. Then Chelsea introduces herself to Lexi and Nia and she asks their names, worrying Nia.

After school, we see Mason's parents, Courtney and Brett waiting for him to come home, hoping that he's spreading their word of their religion to the secular kids at school. Mason comes home, and he pretends like he totally did that. Mason leaves to work on homework. However, Courtney feels like something is up with Mason.

At Lexi's house, Nia warns Lexi about Chelsea being her kidnapper in her visions. Since Chelsea in the visions said that she had been tracking them for a year, it's probable that Chelsea doesn't know they have their powers yet and they need to be careful. Lexi promises to be careful, and that it will be easy to avoid her, since she works at a college and they just won't go to that college. From the hallway, Lexi's younger brother overhears them talking about their time travel powers, and says that it's very odd what they're talking about.

At night, on the street, Lizzie high fives Mason for being able to trick his parents, and it appears that his mom is fooled by his trick. At the party, Mason talks with Nia and are amazed at the decorations. Lexi compliments Lizzie's decorating her own bedroom to look like a scary jail cell. Mason sees a classmate named Wyatt who is in his history class at the party who is dressed like a gladiator and they talk. Gregory sees them talking to Wyatt and thinks that Mason likes Wyatt, but Mason denies it.

In the Jenkins house, Courtney gets angry about all of the noises from next door and that's it's impossible for them to read with all the noise. She goes over to the house and starts fighting with Lizzie's mother, Jodi, about the party. She then sees Mason there and gets even more angry that he snuck out to the party. She tells him that he can only be friends with people she approves of, and that she's transferring him to a private Christian school. Not wanting to lose their friend, Nia and Lexi go back in time a few minutes, and Nia warns Mason to go back to his home before his mom comes.

The last scene shows Makayla inside of a lab with Chelsea, whom she refers to as her grandma. Chelsea need to do a body scan test with a new machine she's working on for scientific research. She had Makayla stand on to platform and the machine makes Makayla fall asleep. After this test, she hopes it will be useful. Then she wakes her up, and Makayla goes to the Halloween festival with Jill and Rebecca. Chelsea then tests the machine if it is able to shapeshift her, and she turns herself into Jill. She doesn't have a plan yet, so she turns back into herself. But she says it will be useful if she ever needs it, then the episode ends.
