When Joey and Clifton confront the drug dealers when they threaten Trivette, Eddie smacks one over the head with a frying pan. Needless to say, after what occurred, it earned Eddie praise from his classmates!
- Cut Himself Shaving: Eddie has to contend with his mother's abusive live-in boyfriend on a regular basis. It's not until after he takes out the drug dealers, he summons the courage to tell Walker and Trivette about him, to which they finally arrest him.
- Teen Pregnancy: Discussed. The Ranger Teen Camp was originally composed of five girls and two boys. One girl, 13-year-old Cindy Cordero, ended up becoming three months pregnant and cannot join the camp. As a result, Eddie becomes the seventh camper to fill in for her.
