Almost an year has passed since the defeat of Ogrest and the fight between Yugo and his Dragon Brother Adamai, who has quit the Brotherhood of the Tofu: Sadlygrove and Eva are expecting a third child, Amalia has to deal with her father being deathly ill and her brother Armand and her spouse trying to send her away from the court, while Yugo and Ruel are restlessly looking for Ad.

During a blizzard, the Percedal family is visited by a black-furred Pandawa, Poo, who asks for hospitality. However, it's only a trap, as he and his companion, the Sram Toxine, reveal themselves as members of the Brotherhood of the Forgotten and attack the family, trying to take away the Flopin and Elely. The situation takes a turn for the worst when a bigger and more threatening Adamai appears, ready to take on the Percedal family!

Tropes:

  • Action Mom: Being heavily pregnant doesn't stop Eva from fighting two demigods at the same time in a narrow space and get the upper hand.
  • Affably Evil: Poo is quite cordial, affable and grateful, acting like a pleasant and jolly fellow who seems genuinely grateful for the hospitality he received. Too bad he's also on the orders of the Big Bad.
  • Arranged Marriage: Implied that the marriage between Armand and Aurora was mostly political, she also tries to pair Amalia with a suitor (seemingly from her family) so that she can send her away and can do all the scheming she wants. No wonder Amalia is so cold towards her.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When Eva asks Poo to remove all of his weapons and he reminds a last "pair", he seemingly removes his belt... only to produce a pair of carved orbs attached to the belt.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Subverted; Rubilax teleports on his own volition to Dally's hand when he's being held over a precipice by Adamai, but the dragon smashes him in half when he tries to attack.
  • Break the Cutie:
    • Yugo is consumed with grief because he feels responsible for his brother's disappearance and is worried sick about him: being forced to see through his eyes as he seemingly murders his friend is devastating.
    • Amalia is under stress, as her relationship with her brother soured and his wife Aurora is trying to force her to marry to ship her somewhere else, and her father is very sick, possibly dying, even though he still supports her. Her growing love for Yugo only complicates matters.
  • Cain and Abel: Starting with this episode, Adamai has become the Cain to Yugo's good Abel.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • Princess Aurora, Armand's wife, already appeared during the Council of Twelve back in season 2.
    • The place where Yugo and Ruel are looking for Ad is the Realm of the Winds, where Ad and Otomai met Lady Echo and Sipho.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: While Eva and Dally are able to handle Poo and Toxine pretty well despite their various handicaps (being heavily pregnant and missing an arm respectively), the moment Adamai pops in powered up on the Six Eliatrope Dofus any chance of victory for them is gone.
  • Darkest Hour: In the first episode!! By the end, Ad has revealed himself to be the bad guy, emotionally destroying Yugo, Eva and Flopin are kidnapped by the Forgotten, Elely has Poo on her track and Dally is near death.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: When a furious Adamai asks Poo how could he let Elely escape from under his nose, the Pandawa retorts that he, who's vastly more powerful than he and Toxine combined, couldn't do better. Unusually, Ad calms down, concedes the point and downright apologize for having lashed at him.
  • Expy: In his "adult" humanoid form, Adamai bears an uncanny resemblance to Frieza.
  • Extended Disarming: Eva manages to sense Poo's load of weapons and asks him to disarm himself before joining them for supper. Cue to a small pile of assorted weaponry fished from his fur.
  • Faceā€“Heel Turn: Adamai's tutelage under the Forgotten has turned him into a cold-blooded psychopath with no qualms about viciously harming his former friends.
  • Forced to Watch: As he performs a Neck Lift on Dally, Ad uses a spell to force Yugo to see the action from his own point of view.
  • Handicapped Badass: Eva is heavily pregnant and Dally is missing an arm, yet they still retain all their combat experience from their adventures and are more than capable of holding their own against their demigod foes before Adamai shows up.
  • Hidden Disdain Reveal: After one-shooting Eva with a powerful attack, Ad grins and says that he always wanted to do that, downright asking Dally how could he bear her.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Poo uses the magic orb... thingie (which he calls Sylo) to restrain Flopin and Elely. Later, Eva shoots Sylo with her arrow, causing it to overload and explode inside the house with Poo and Toxine still inside.
  • How We Got Here: The opening shot shows the destroyed Percedal house and their belongings scattered in the snow. Then we learn how that happened.
  • Made of Iron: Toxine and Poo aren't demigods just for show, as they manage to survive a point-blank explosion.
  • Mundane Utility: Elely trying to use Rubilax (in Wind Sword form) to chop lumber.
  • Nightmare Face: When using his powers to share his sight with Yugo, Adamai's face becomes much more threatening and creepy.
  • Parental Sexuality Squick: Elely yikes when Dally and Eva kiss. It does not go better when Rubilax reveals that her parents do even worse at night, when he witness them after they forgot to take him down from the wall.
  • Retired Badass: Due to Eva's pregnancy and Dally's desire to rear a family, Eva and Dally have at least for the time being put their adventuring days behind them. Elely point-blank asks Dally if he misses his Glory Days and, after some prodding, he admits he does a bit, but rearing her and Flopin is an adventure of its own.
  • Shaped Like Itself: When listing all the opponents he has faced, Dally lists Nox (the Mad Xelor), Qilby (the Mad Eliatrope), Ogrest (the Mad Ogre) and Rushu (the Mad... Madman).
  • Tranquil Fury: During the cold and awkward family dinner in the Sadida palace, it's clear that Amalia is angry at both Armand and Aurora, but she keeps calm all the way, even when she decides to quit after Aurora's attempt to introduce her to her latest relative/suitor.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Poo and Toxine. True, Eva is pregnant and Dally renounced his divine powers and is down an arm, but still they really underestimate their combat abilities and, if it wasn't for Adamai, would have lost.
  • Wham Shot: After trouncing Rubilax and Dally, Adamai reveals that the bulging parts on his body are actually the Six Eliatrope Dofus he took from Goultard.
  • Wrecked Weapon: Adamai manages to snap Rubilax in half with a backhand when Dally tries to defend himself.
