Recap / Wabbit S 2 E 24 One Carroter In Search Of An Artist The Duck Days Of Summer

"One Carroter in Search of an Artist"

As an homage to "Duck Amuck", Bugs becomes tormented by the animator.

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Bugs gets frustrated enough that he wants to go back into his rabbit hole. Only for the animator to pull up a small image of it.
Bugs: Hey, Rembrandt, how am I supposed to fit in there?
(The animator picks up Bugs by the collar and shoves him down his hole.)
  • Bittersweet Ending: When Bugs asked for a happy, calm and serene ending, a bored butterfly threatens him.
  • Butt-Monkey: Bugs receives the long end of the stick in this.
  • Casting Gag: Bugs' head is changed to Foghorn's head and Sylvester's head, both of which are voiced by Jeff Bergman.
  • Ironic Echo: If you recall Bugs saying "Ain't I a stinker?" after he's revealed to be the artist who tormented him in Duck Amuck, then it's quite obvious of Daffy saying the line in the end when he's revealed to be the artist who tormented Bugs.
  • Mythology Gag: The entire premise of this episode is an updated version of the classic "Rabbit Rampage." At one point, the artist turns Bugs into his form from "Hare-Um Scare-Um", then into Ace Bunny from Loonatics Unleashed.
    • At one point of the episode, he mentions "St. Louie", which was used from his last line in "Wild and Woolly Hare".
  • Spiritual Successor: To Duck Amuck and Rabbit Rampage.
  • Take That!: Bugs' brief transformation into Ace Bunny can be seen as a jab at Loonatics Unleashed and its divisive reputation.
Bugs, as Ace Bunny: Okay. Now, you're just messin' with me.

"The Duck Days of Summer"

Elmer Fudd portrays Daffy Duck as a symbol of summer for town, only for Daffy to become overwhelmed by the fame.

  • Celebrity Is Overrated: Daffy Duck eventually starts to grow sick of being the famed Summer Duck.
  • Con Man: The whole "Summer Duck" thing is a scam to sell souvenirs.
  • Harmless Freezing: The Winter Stag inflicts this upon Elmer for the next six months.
  • An Ice Person: The Winter Stag, who brings the snow of winter.
  • Insane Troll Logic: William questions the Summer Duck's existence, as he never heard of it before. Elmer's response?
Elmer Fudd: Well, I've never heard of you, William. Are you real?
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Cinnamon rolls for the Winter Stag. He just can't resist the little guys.
  • Weird Weather: The city is stuck in summer for weeks on end, all because Elmer Fudd locked up the Winter Stag.
