Episode Tropes:
- Avenging the Villain: Discussed. Hebikura of all people predicted that this would be possible for the unhatched Red King to return in the future.
- Bittersweet Ending: The battle with the Red Kings end with the father being killed. Despite Haruki's realization way too late, he and Z instead took the bullet from King Joe STORAGE Custom to protect the mother Red King and her hatchling. In the end, the mother and her egg disappeared elsewhere.
- Didn't Think This Through: Unlike most of Haruki's blunders during in the line of duty, this episode is a Played for Drama example. After destroying one of the two Red Kings, he discovers a cavern that one of them protecting had an egg within it, only to find out that one of the Red King he and Z destroyed was actually the father; and understood the pain what its like to lose a father like he did when he was a child. Especially since he didn't stop to think about why the Red Kings were only defending one specific spot through their rampages after being woken up.
- Disappeared Dad: Haruki reveals that he lost his father back in his youth during Giestron's rampage. Unfortunately he discovered too late that he had unwittingly done the same to the unhatched Red King, and was about to kill the mother as well.
- Foreshadowing: In Haruki's flashback of him playing baseball with his father, the latter took a long time going to retrieve the baseball when Haruki threw it out of bounds. Episode 14 reveals that while picking up the ball, his father had encountered present-day Haruki, who was sent to the past as a result of Bullton's Time Master powers.
- Mood Whiplash: The episode begins with Haruki, in his usually Hot-Blooded Large Ham state introducing King Joe STORAGE Custom, that is until when he accidentally killed one of the two Red Kings, goes into a Heroic BSoD.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Said by Haruki word for word as he realizes the first Red King earlier was protecting its hatchling. Doubles as These Hands Have Killed.
- Non-Malicious Monster: The two Red Kings were actually protecting their unborn child... as Haruki found that out too late.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The usually Hot-Blooded and reckless Haruki goes into a traumatized state at the sight of the Red Kings' egg, only to find out that one of the Red Kings he and Z destroyed was in fact, the father.
- Thousand-Yard Stare: The state Haruki goes into after realizing he and Z killed the other Red King from earlier.
- Unexpectedly Dark Episode: This episode appears to be heading towards the usual plot of destroy the monster and protect the innocents with the brutal Red King showing up reminding Haruki of the day his father died of a kaiju attack. Only for it to turn out that the Red Kings are actually Non Malicious Monsters protecting their egg. Having killed the father, this would give Haruki a Heroic BSoD and made him realize that the Kaijus he fought are living beings as well instead of just monsters.
- Wham Episode: This is the first time Haruki realizes that he killed a monster that actually has no intention of harming humans, as the Red Kings were actually protecting their young.
