Hielito
"Hielito" ("Icy") is the 15th episode of season 2 of 31 Minutos. A freeze wave is striking in the country and the studio of 31 Minutos is very cold. Tulio angry that Tío Pelado scammed with a busted heater previously, forces him to fix it, meanwhile Juanín builds a tiny snowman named "Hielito" ("Icy") who comes alive and becomes friend with everyone in the studio, until Tío Pelado finally fixes the heater and Hielito starts to melt.
"Hielito" contains examples of:
- All-Loving Hero: Hielito himself refers as such. He really considers everybody in the studio their friends.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Hielito is very nice, but has no qualms in calling out Tulio and their friends for not noticing that he's melting, because he's made of snow, after the heater got fixed.
- Breather Episode: Sandwiched between the dark and intense episodes: "Mugre" and "La Amenaza Siluria" saga. This episode is comical and lighthearted.
- Chekhov's Gun: The busted heater that Tío Pelado is forced to repair, becomes important again later in the episode after Tío Pelado repairs it.
- Con Artist: Tío Pelado as usual.
- Creative Closing Credits: The episode ends with the staff of 31 Minutos playing with Hielito in a snowy mountain, while the song "Hielito" plays in the background.
- Cuteness Proximity: Hielito himself. Just look at him!
- Furry Reminder: Patana flies to the north to pass the winter, with a flock of birds.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Tío Pelado previously sold Tulio a busted heater that can make the weather as hot as summer. When he comes back, he attempts to scam Tulio again, but Bodoque sees through it and the two decide to force him to repair the busted heater from before.
- Meaningful Name: "Hielito" comes from "Hielo", that means "Ice" in spanish. In Latin America, people call "Ice" and "Snow", "Hielo", despite the differences. Two points for guessing what Hielito is made of?
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Patana can't stand the cold of the studio and she flies like a bird with the other birds, to the north.
