Spiritomb quits working for Skuntank after he suggested to get back at Venusaur's alliance, Gastrodon plans to back-stab Tyrantrum for using the Division Idol behind her back, while Medicham reveals to Absol that her selfishness to the contestants is all an act. The Final 16 (except Phanpy) compete in a Super Smash Bros.-esque tournament against each other for immunity.

- Big "NO!": Gliscor's reaction upon Spiritomb being eliminated by Skuntank's expulsion idol.

- Spiritomb upon Skuntank suggesting him to eliminate Venusaur's alliance one by one to get the target off of his back.
- Spiritomb again upon being eliminated by Skuntank's expulsion idol.

- The Cameo: The cameraman, Toxicroak, voiced by Crazy Chandelure, makes an appearance after the challenge to inform Medicham of the camera's lens breaking because of Tyrantrum landing on it, thanks to Ampharos' Zap Cannon.
- Curbstomp Battle: Spiritomb suffers one against Corphish during the challenge. While Spiritomb's attacks don't damage Corphish because of his Wonder Guard ability, Corphish manages to send Spiritomb flying with his Final Smash.
- Evil Laugh: Gastrodon does one in the confessional upon successfully backstabbing and eliminating Tyrantrum.
- Flashback: Tyrantrum has one about his time in prison before he got released due to his brutal behaviour causing him to badly injure Archen.
- Meaningful Echo: "This [location] has no place for a brute like you!" First said by Beautifly to Tyrantrum, which causes him to remind him of the same phrase Hydreigon quoted to him when leaving prison as a Tyrunt due to his brutal behavior.
- The Reveal: After threatening to disqualify Tyrantrum, Medicham reveals to Absol she actually cares about the contestants, but pretends she doesn't because, if she acted like her true self towards them, the ratings will drop.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Spiritomb's reaction when Skuntank forces him to eliminate Venusaur's alliance one by one, thus ending his blackmail by him.
- This Cannot Be!: Tyrantrum's reaction after Flaaffy acquires the Final Smash in his place, causing her to evolve into Ampharos.Tyrantrum: No. IT CAN'T BE!
- Took a Level in Badass: Flaaffy evolves into Ampharos.
- Training from Hell: Gastrodon gave one to Tyrantrum just before the challenge started. Subverted since Gastrodon only did this to boost Tyrantrum's ego during the challenge and eliminate him.

- You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Said by Skuntank to Spiritomb after the latter asked why the former decided to use the Expulsion Idol to eliminate him, even though Skuntank could've gone for someone else who was at risk.
