Recap / Time Stop Brave Ch 24 Delve and Stop

Go To

After getting supplies, Sekai and Gankichi wander the maze. He notes that he doesn't really feel the heat from the lava and that this area reminds him of Lethal Lava Land from Super Mario 64. He comes to a dead end, but notices a lever on the other side of the lava. Gankichi swims across the lava, immune to it since it is made of rock, and pulls it, causing a platform to rise out of the lava so he can cross. The timer has roughly 37 hours left. He wonders how someone would reach that lever normally.

He ponders how he arrived in this world in the middle of a road and comes up with a hypothesis that others arrived before him, and whenever they die, someone is summoned to replace them. Perhaps his predecessor got run over by a carriage or something. To test this theory, he'll have to find the First Village that is usually featured in an RPG. If he is a replacement life, the people should recognize him. He is hopeful this hypothesis isn't true. Anyway, he should avoid getting killed, since there's no telling if the Life Stone will fail him.

They encounter a floating fireball with a face and go around it, thinking Nazar's troops have no chance against it. They encounter a four-armed living scarecrow wielding bombs and go around it. They go through a few more obstacles and lever puzzles, taking a break to camp out, then meet a huge dragon that burns Sekai's hand when he touches it. He thinks as long as time is frozen it can't harm him, but he can't think of a way to kill it, especially since Bahamut can't fit in the entrance. There is a door behind it, but he can't open it. Niña could unlock it, but he would have to unfreeze time and face the dragon. Gankichi points out a crack in the wall, then pulls out a bomb it took from the scarecrow and hurls it, blowing it open.

They enter the passage, but step on a steep slope and slide to the bottom. It is too slippery to climb up, and he notes that if this was a video game, he's just passed a point of no return. The texture of the walls have changed, and he enters a mine shaft with mine carts. They enter a cart and let gravity pull them to the end of the track. It is getting colder, and he wonders just how deep is this place, and it seems to be wider than the entire island. Deeper into the cave, they encounter a giant centipede with a woman's head and arms. He freaks out at the horrific sight and runs around it to a door, but it is also locked. Fortunately, Gankichi saved another bomb and blows the door open. They encounter a fiendish looking man carrying a pickaxe, then see a Japanese looking village behind him.
