Episode - S1
First Aired - December 19, 2004
Dr. Venture hosts a Christmas party at the compound, while Monarch plans to arch him with a Christmas-themed plot.
- All Just a Dream:
- The beginning of the episode sees Rusty in a A Christmas Carol-style dream, with the specter of death looking at his tombstone.
- The whole episode turns out to be this, with it really being a fever dream of Rusty's due to injuries suffered in an X-1 crash. Maybe.
- Call-Back: Sally Impossible can be seen pregnant in the background of the holiday party, a reference to the after-credits revelation of Ice Station-Impossible!
- Christmas Episode: Naturally. And as is standard for the show, the premise is skewered with The Monarch planning to blow the party up with C4, a Krampus attacking, and the whole thing possibly being a Dream Sequence from a badly injured Rusty.
- I Call Him "Mr. Happy": Apparently Brock calls his penis Baby Jesus, which gets him confused when Hank finds the baby Jesus figure out of the nativity set.
- The Krampus: The boys, believing one of Orpheus' spellbooks might contain a Christmas story, accidentally summon one. It attacks Rusty and fights Brock.
- Lilliputians: The Monarch works with "Tiny Joseph", a tiny villain who can easily disguise himself among Dr. Venture's manger scene figurines.
- Mind Screw: The episode starts with Rusty waking up from a A Christmas Carol dream, then it turns out the events of the episode are All Just a Dream, and he wakes up again, this time in a crashed X-1 in Bethlehem.
- Shout-Out:
- Rusty's opening dream sequence is directly from A Christmas Carol.
- Orpheus preventing Dean from speaking by magically putting a bolted metal plate over his mouth is from Beetlejuice.
- The "Christmas videos" Hank finds in Brock's closet are Miracle on 69 Street, Jingle Balls, Frothy the Blowman, and Rudolph the Red-Knobbed Reindeer, all Parallel Porn Titles of well-known Christmas films.
- Dr. Orpheus calls Christmas "about as real as the Wookiees' Life Day," a reference to the celebration in The Star Wars Holiday Special.
