Everyone laughs at this a little too long, until Homer impatiently snaps at them to stop—before finally giving in and laughing himself, admitting, "Eh, it's funny."

- Ned refers back to his career as Bart’s teacher as the beginning of his Humiliation Conga. Marge’s surprise at learning it references how it was a fairly minor Story Arc.
- Homer and Marge let Ned hide out in the attic above their garage, first explored two seasons prior in "Manger Things."
- Description Cut: Ned frees to his kids living a life of mischief and mayhem”, before we cut to Rod and Todd sitting on the couch, with the former chiding the latter for blinking.
