Super Stars

Original air date: 11/6/23

The Star family become a legion of superheroes after being exposed to radiation. President Krabs calls them to fight crime all over the city, and this ends in a battle against supervillain Granny Tentacles.

Super Stars contains examples of:

  • Alliterative Title: Super Stars.
  • The Ending Changes Everything: The Stars weren't actually the superheroes. President Krabs is corrupt and he hired them to cause chaos as a distraction and make his getaway. In fact, Granny Tentacles is the superhero the people need because she tried to stop them.
  • Overly Long Gag: Patrick chugging whipped cream and burping before accepting Krabs' mission.
  • Superhero Episode: The Star family all get their own superpowers.
  • What Kind of Lame Power Is Heart, Anyway?: Parodied. Bunny has the power of heart... "whatever that means!" She later uses it to make cookies out of Granny Tentacles' tennis ball projectiles.

Now Museum, Now You Don't

Original air date: 11/7/23

Cecil has a new job as a night watchman at Lady Upturn's museum. However, Patrick finds that he has forgotten his underwear and sneaks into the museum to deliver them, causing Cecil to mistake him for a thief.

Now Museum, Now You Don't contains examples of:

  • Bait-and-Switch: We see Patrick intricately preparing a trap with hammering, sawing, and welding. It turns out he was simply tying a knot in a rope.
  • Big Win Sirens: Referenced. Both Patrick and Cecil think that the museum's security alarm going off means someone won a prize.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Patrick, while dressed a robber, doesn't seem to realize why everyone gives him their watches and wallets after he boards a bus and makes a finger gun gesture.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: You can catch a lot of funny paintings in the background of Upturn's museum, such as Bubble Bass eating a Krabby Patty painted in the style of Saturn Devouring His Son.
  • Funny Background Event: At the beginning of the episode, the Stars are having breakfast even though it's night outside.
  • Mistaken for Thief: Before Patrick leaves to give Cecil his underwear, Bunny gives him his sweater, face mask, and a bag to store the underwear, which makes him look like a stereotypical robber. She also asks him to have something nice to say to everyone he meets that night: Patrick goes with "Reach for the sky!" and a finger gun gesture. He arrives to the museum on a bus, happily thanking the terrified passengers, who have sacrificed their watches and wallets to him. Similarly, once he enters the museum, Cecil mistakes him for an actual robber.
  • "Nighthawks" Shot: One of the paintings Patrick escapes into is the Nighthawks diner. The bartender impatiently asks if he's going to buy anything or just sit there.
  • Noodle Incident: What terrible stuff exactly did Upturn's family do to acquire their museum's gallery?
  • Poor Communication Kills: Upturn tells Cecil that nobody is allowed in the museum. Once Cecil is about to throw her from the top of the museum staircase, she makes sure to specify, after closing.
  • Pun-Based Title: Of the phrase "now you see 'em, now you don't".
  • Shout-Out:
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: When Patrick hears the alarm after breaking into the museum, he says "I must've won a prize!" Cecil, elsewhere in the museum, suspects that someone won a prize after hearing the alarm as well.
