As Canterlot hosts a tech expo over the weekend, Micro Chips hopes to showoff his Artificial Intelligence program Viral. However, Viral has developed feelings for Micro and causes chaos across the expo as she tries to find a proper body for herself so she and Micro can be together.

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Viral is of the "fell in love with her creator" variety.
  • Big "NO!": Viral lets out several loud "NO!"s as she is trapped by the Code Catcher.
  • Contagious A.I.: Upon doing a little experimenting, Viral gained the ability to load her programming to any wireless machine. Unfortunately, Micro notes that her logic code may have been corrupted each time she did so, hence the reason she devolved into a Yandere.
  • Continuity Nod: Viral being a creation of Micro Chips that turns evil bears resemblance to his robot "JVJ-24601" suddenly turning evil in "Cheer You On".
  • Didn't Think This Through: Flash is invited to the expo so he can showoff the Omnitrix. But even though he can explain what the Omnitrix does he can't explain the science over how it works, leading him to give several unsatisfying answers to the people asking questions about it. If he had turned into one of his smarter aliens like Grey Matter he might have been able to answer them better.
  • Grew Beyond Their Programming: Viral, initially intended to be an A.I that could solve problems and remotely control devices, ends up developing feelings for her creator, Micro, followed by gaining the ability to upload herself into anything wireless.
  • Mythology Gag: Twilight yells "MY CAR!" upon seeing her model car for the expo broken, similar to the Running Gag of the Ben 10 franchise where Kevin Levin's car would constantly be damaged and/or destroyed and he would voice his grief over it.
  • Sanity Slippage: It is implied that Viral damaged her logic programs by constantly transferring herself wirelessly from device to device, which ended up making her a Yandere for Micro.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Grey Matter manages to trap Viral inside an ordinary flash drive, with her unable to escape due to lacking an internet connection.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Twilight's model Flying Car seems akin to the DeLorean from Back to the Future.
    • One inventor at the science expo developed a pack with four mechanical arms like Doctor Octopus, right down to having a neural control chip.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Viral has one when the scientists all talk about her like she's not a real person, how they are going to copy her and dissect her programing and possibly remove her emotions to make her more agreeable, and Micro doesn't do anything to speak in her defense. This causes her to take control of other creations at the expo, creating a makeshift body for herself, and go on a rampage.
  • Yandere: Viral hates the idea of being separated from Micro, no matter how small the distance or how short it might be. She constantly tries to take control of other devices that can serve as a body for her so she and him can be together forever.
