- Freeze-Frame Bonus: The Matrix Raining Code at the start includes "stupid", "pretentious", "heavy handed", "dated", and "artsy". It also includes symbols from Pac-Man, the Triforce, the Star Trek Federation logo, and The Artist Formerly Known as Prince.
- Impractically Fancy Outfit: Malcolmus and Tamarity wear leather that squeaks so loudly they can't be heard speaking over it, and is so tight they can't fight.
- Informed Ability: Critic points this out about Neo, as the movie claims Neo is this genius hacker but he has to be reassured what an AI is and another had to explain to him what an EMP was.
- Logic Bomb: How the Critic defeats Agent Schmuck.
- Running Gag: When the Critic says he didn't like The Matrix, everyone assumes he means the sequels.
- So Okay, It's Average: The Critic thinks it's an okay film, but not the groundbreaker that others do.
- Straw Fan: Agent Schmuck.
- Take That!Critic: He's caught up in making philosophical speeches than talking at me like a real person.Malcolmus: Yes, we call that "Nolaning".
