This review contains examples of:
- From the Mouths of Babes:Mother: Oh, look, honey, it's Frank's dad! I wonder who that woman is.
Girl: She's a hooker.
Mother: [rolls her eyes] Honey.
Critic: Because that's every mother's reaction to such an everyday line uttered by her daughter, isn't it? [as the mother] Hmm, I wonder who that woman is? [as daughter, off-screen voice] She's a bitch-ass-whore-fuck! [as the mother, chuckles] Oh, Susie!... - The Internet Is for Porn: The Critic responds to one kid mentioning the city as a place where you can see naked girls 24/7 with this trope.
- Karma Houdini: In-Universe. The Critic is in disbelief at how Frank locks his teacher out of the classroom and brings a hooker to the class for his presentation, yet doesn't receive any punishment for it.
- One Dialogue, Two Conversations: V thinks they're talking about sex, Tom thinks they're talking about math. Critic is not happy to see this cliche in action.
- Running Gag: Screenwriting Cliche # (insert # here).
- Shout-Out: At the end of The Critic's rant on the main character's presentation to the class, he says, "Hallelujah, holy shit! Where the Tylenol!", a line from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
- Unproblematic Prostitution: Among its many flaws, the film gets blasted by how easily V gets out of her job.
- What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: In-Universe. The Critic is quite creeped out about how a film about sex seems to target and star young kids.
"I'm goin' to the so'op."
