This episode has examples of
- Animate Inanimate Object: During the cold opening, after Doug performs some magic with seashells...Scooter: Wow! Your magic feats are amazing!
Doug: Well, I thank you, and my magic feets thank you.
Doug's Sneakers: Oh, thank you! Thank you very much! - Inept Mage: Zigzagged with Fozzie's attempt to be a magician. He does genuinely try to be good at magic, but thanks mostly to the rabbits fouling up his act and giving away his tricks, his efforts don't work out so well.
- Pull a Rabbit out of My Hat: Fozzie tries this. First he gets a rabbi ("You were expecting the pope, maybe?") and then a robot ("You were expecting R2-D2, maybe?") before he taps the hat too hard and dozens of bunnies pop out.
- Rascally Rabbit: The bunnies relentlessly follow Fozzie around, calling him "Daddy", and ruin his attempts at magic, both onstage and when he's trying to perform for Robin backstage.
- Shout-Out:
- During one of Fozzie's attempts to pull a rabbit out of his hat, he pulls out a robot instead. It asks him if he was expecting R2-D2.
- At the end, one of the bunnies imitates Porky Pig's "T-T-T-That's all folks!" complete with a circle.
- Bunny: T-t-t-that's all, folks!
[Waldorf bops the rabbit with a hammer. The geezers laugh.]
