Iggy's Alexa is the second episode of The Mario Plushie Cinematic Universe.
Iggy is celebrating his status as "the best Koopaling" when Bowser gifts him an Alexa. Iggy is having fun with his device until he notices a purple blob has mysteriously attached itself to his Alexa. Iggy shrugs it off. While dancing to Cody Fry's Eleanor Rigby, Iggy is interrupted by the Alexa suddenly delivering a disturbing and threatening message. The message finishes with "See you at family board game night", revealing the controller to be one of Iggy's siblings.
Iggy calls a family meeting and goes down the line, accusing each sibling of controlling his Alexa. None of them seem to be guilty, and after a little while, Iggy gives up and goes back to his Alexa, resolving to just remove the device by himself. This goes well.
After Iggy gives up on trying to remove the device, he overhears Roy talking through the speaker. Iggy rushes upstairs to accuse Roy, but he isn't guilty, either, and he shifts the blame to Wendy. Iggy enters Wendy's room and sees her with Waluigi. Wendy reveals herself as the one with the Alexa-controlling devices, and throws some at Iggy, intending to blow him up. Iggy figures out that the mirror reflects the bombs back at Wendy well, and uses that to his advantage. Wendy is hit with one of the bombs and falls to the floor, weak. Bowser enters and gets mad at them for making a lot of noise.
This episode contains examples of:
- Bait-and-Switch: Wendy asks weakly for Iggy to help her up. Iggy does just this, but immediately after helping her up, he uses this opportunity to punch her again.
- Machine Monotone: Naturally, Alexa.
- Mood Whiplash: The Alexa threatens to kill Iggy, then transitions immediately into "see you at family board game night".
- Mythology Gag: The video is based off an old video from Mario Master 412's now deleted channel, also called Iggy's Alexa.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Alexa becoming evil when possessed.
- Red Herring:
- While Alexa is speaking, there is a shadow of Waluigi talking, implying he's behind the whole thing.
- There's another scene where Iggy hears Roy talking through the Alexa-controlling device, implying HE'S behind it all.
- Of course, eventually it's revealed that Wendy's behind it all.
- Running Gag: Iggy calling Alexa "Alexis".
- Self-Destruct Mechanism: The Alexa-controlling device has this.
- Shout-Out:
- Iggy name drops Cody Fry's Eleanor Rigby, and there is an extended scene where he dances to it.
- There is a long sequence in Iggy's Alexa parodying an Emergency Meeting from Among Us.
- Skewed Priorities: Bowser brushes off Iggy and Wendy's fight, where Wendy was literally throwing bombs at Iggy. Justified in that this probably happens often in their house.
- Skyward Scream: Iggy has one after his montage of failed attempts to get rid of the Alexa-controlling device.
