Scream Queen

While touring a Hollywood movie studio, Lola gets the attention of director Nora Nussbaum and is made to star in her latest movie, but is a movie star's life really as glamorous as Lola thought?
  • Artistic License – Law: Nora Nussbaum has Lola sign an acting contract, when realistically, her parents should be the ones doing the signing, since Lola is a minor.
  • Celebrity Is Overrated: Lynn Sr. flat out warns Lola that fame isn't all its cracked up to be. She never gets a moment's peace, even when not filming, having to deal with reporters asking insulting questions (such as claiming she's not a natural blonde) and crew members fixing her dress while she's wearing it, resulting in her getting pricked by the sewing needle and reading hundreds if not thousands of revised scripts.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: When a crew member tells Nora that Keith the snake refuses to leave his trailer until he gets a sun lamp for his trailer, Nora says she doesn't work with divas. This gives Lola the idea of acting like one, making outlandish demands to make Nora fire her.
  • No Stunt Double: In-Universe example: Nora tells Lola all Dakota Rhodas perform their own stunts to her dismay.
  • The Prima Donna: Lola decides to act like this in order to get fired.
  • Read the Fine Print: Lola's contract reveals she has to keep filming Dakota Rhoda until Nora decides when they're done and could take up to Lola's 42nd birthday.
  • Shout-Out: Dakota Rhoda sounds like a gender-swapped, aged-down parody of Indiana Jones.
  • The Show Goes Hollywood: The Louds' road trip takes them to Hollywood, where Lola discovers that being a movie star is not all fun and games.

Hide and Sneak

The Louds' last stop is Great Lakes City, but since Rita has to meet her deadline at the end of the day, they're not able to visit the Casagrandes.
  • Air-Vent Passageway: After the Louds accidentally enter the Casagrandes' apartment building, they run to the roof. Lincoln finds an air vent and enters to find an exit. He just ends back on the roof from another air vent.
  • Contrived Coincidence: Everywhere the Louds go for their schedule, there's a Casagrande nearby. The Goddess Greens restaurant where they try to dine is according to Leni, Carlota's favorite restaurant. It is supposed to be super trendy and difficult to get reservations and Rita asks the odds of Carlota getting a reservation the same time as them. Cue her walking in. Their visit to the tower has Sergio, his pigeon friends and Carl blocking the way to the elevator. During their attendance of a concert at the park, Bobby and Hector are shown performing with Carlos, Frida, Carlitos, and Rosa sitting nearby with Carl and C.J. playing with a frisbee on their other side. As they escape, they see Ronnie Anne skateboarding towards them with Carlota walking past their RV.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: With Ronnie Anne and Carlota unknowingly boxing them in, Lincoln spots a building they can enter to escape. When they enter, Lynn Sr. questions why the building's interior looks familiar. Lori recognizes it as the Casagrandes' apartment. Lynn calls out Lincoln for putting them "in the belly of the beast".
