The Louds meet Rita's old camp friend turned celebrity Brad Plaid at a State Fair and Lynn Sr. becomes jealous.

• Always Someone Better: Lynn Sr. tries to one up Brad at the State Fair only to be bested at every turn. Lola wants a unicorn won from a "knocking down milk bottles" game but he only manages to hit one bottle winning a toy mouse. Brad manages to knock down three sets with one ball winning Lola a whole hoard of unicorns. He then challenges Brad to a BBQ cook off serving a pulled chicken sandwich, which impresses the judges but declares Brad's shish kebabs the winner, which everyone including his wife and children enjoy.
• Blind Without 'Em: Brad cannot see without his glasses mistaking a cactus for his employee. Lynn Sr. and Lincoln uses this to their advantage by stealing his glasses and replacing his horse with a bull.
• My God, What Have I Done?: Lynn Sr. when he realizes his wife isn't the Rita referenced in all of Brad's songs.
• Out-of-Context Eavesdropping: Lynn Sr. and Lincoln overhear Brad telling a cactus which he mistakes for his employee that he's going to ask Rita to travel with him, which lead to their sabotage attempt. It later turns out he was talking about his horse which he named after his grandmother, Margarita.

Doll Day Afternoon

Mr. Coconuts is gone. Luan leads the family on a search and rescue mission to recover him.

• Everyone Has Standards: The rest of the family is shocked Luan is willing to return Mr. Coconuts.
• Meaningful Name: Dusty Springs is a desert filled with dust and has springs popping out of the ground occasionally. Calvin tripping on one botches his escape.
  Calvin: Curse these Dusty Springs dusty springs.
• Passing the Torch: Luan returns Mr. Coconuts to Calvin. Later that night, Calvin decides Luan can keep him since he's retired from performing and Luan is just getting started and can continue his legacy.
• The Reveal: This episode reveals that Calvin and Mr. Coconuts were performing in Royal Woods one day and a bird stole Mr. Coconuts then hit a kite kid Lori was flying dropping Mr. Coconuts in front of kid Luan.
• Shout-Out: Four of the marionette heads resemble the four main animatronics of Five Nights at Freddy's.
• Status Quo Is God: Mr. Coconuts is reunited with his original owner but the latter has him stay with Luan.
• Toilet Humor: Luan has to take a dump after having "too much" milkshake at the diner where she lost Mr. Coconuts.
