Bye Bye Birthday
Embarrassed by her family constantly going all out on her birthdays, Lucy casts a spell to make the Louds forget about her ninth birthday.
Tough Guise
When Zach gets detention after tackling Mr. Bolhofner due to a mistake, Rusty tries to teach him to adopt a tough guy persona.
- Bad "Bad Acting": Lincoln, Clyde, Stella, and Liam read their Rusty Spokes Players lines in a dull, robotic monotone.
- Continuity Nod: The bullies who are also in detention are the same ones who harassed Lincoln and company back in "No Bus No Fuss". Zig-Zagged in that they don't remember Zach at all.
- Gone Horribly Right: Rusty's lessons gain Zach the respect of the bullies. Unfortunately, it also means they can now drag him along for their antics in booby-trapping the teachers' lounge.
- Hell-Bent for Leather: Rusty invokes this as part of his tough guy persona, and gets Zach in on the act. Pablo also dons a leather jacket in honor of Zach's Z-Bones persona.
- Hidden Depths: It turns out the aforementioned bullies are more than just generic bullies (and, after the events of this episode, may not even be bullies anymore). Pablo in particular is a Conspiracy Theorist who has believed Mr. Bolhofner is an alien and wants to be in My Fair Lady.
- Reading the Stage Directions Out Loud: Lincoln does this in one of Rusty's mock detention scenarios.
Lincoln: "'I, Meathead Larry, am never messing with you again, Rusty Bones. Parentheses, dramatically bursts into tears.'"
- Who Writes This Crap?!: Stella and Lincoln clearly have issues with the lines Rusty wrote for them.
