Lights, Camera, Nuclear Reaction

  • Acting in the Dark: invokedWhile Lincoln did ask for screen accuracy, he and Clyde had no idea during the film shooting that the nuclear reactor was real.
  • Amateur Film-Making Plot: Lincoln and Clyde try to make their own David Steele movie.
  • Call-Back: Lola's jeep is still outfitted with Lisa's David Steele tech installed in "Present Danger".
  • Chekhov's Gun: Todd has a memory function that allows him to replay his memories. Lisa, Clyde, and Lincoln exploit this to restore him to normal by bringing up memories of his old self.
  • Enforced Method Acting: invokedLisa assists Lincoln with his David Steele movie by using an actual nuclear reactor (because he asked for screen accuracy) and equipping Todd with a villain switch so his performance as Chip Micro would be more genuine. Unfortunately, said nuclear reactor has the power to destroy Royal Woods, and she hasn't turned off Todd's villain switch after the shooting is over, so now Todd is a genuine supervillain armed with an actual nuclear reactor.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Said by Todd after he breaks out of the villain mode.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Todd's eyes near-constantly glow this way when he's in villain mode.
  • Shout-Out: Chip Micro’s base resembles Dr. Wily’s Castle from Mega Man (Classic)

Food Courting

When Leni finds out Miguel has a crush on Spaghetti on a Stick employee Gavin, she sets off to help Miguel win his affections.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: After falling in love with Leni on the Seas of Cheese, Gavin begins following her everywhere. Granted, Leni does reciprocate his advances, but it's just that she doesn't want Miguel to notice lest their friendship is ruined.
  • Actor Allusion: This isn't the first time Liliana Mumy was involved in a prank involving inserting food into an unwanted suitor's pants and then having the family dog chase him off, following Cheaper by the Dozen (2003).
  • Balcony Wooing Scene: Gavin attempts the Say Anything... variant in which he stands in front of the Loud House holding up a boombox and blasting "Dairy Binds the World Together" at max volume.
  • Book Ends: "Nice boats. Are the shoes fresh? Boy, that latest episode of Dream Sauce, huh?" First spoken by Miguel when first trying to talk to Gavin, and later by Leni when she earnestly starts her relationship with Gavin.
  • Covered in Gunge: Cheese, technically, but that's what happens to Leni after she attempts to run from Gavin.
  • Earpiece Conversation: Leni attempts to help Miguel this way. It works for a while, but a stubborn Scoots badgers Leni and Miguel repeats Leni's salesman lingo, embarrassing himself.
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: Leni and Miguel go to Dairyland so she can hook him up with Gavin on the Seas of Cheese. Unfortunately for them, only two can fit per boat, so she's forced to go on the ride with Gavin, who ultimately develops feelings for her.
  • Incompatible Orientation: Miguel is gay and has feelings for Gavin, but it later turns out Gavin is at least straight and has feelings for Leni.
  • Playing Cyrano: Leni does this twice to help Miguel with Gavin. First she offers some icebreakers, then attempts to feed him dialogue directly with a David Steele earpiece. Both attempts end in failure.
  • Queer Establishing Moment: Miguel was always shown to have a flamboyant and campy personality, but was only Ambiguously Gay. This episode makes his attraction to men very explicit.
  • Ship Tease: There is a moment between Miguel and Felix at the end of the episode.
  • Shout-Out: At one point, Gavin stands outside the Loud House and serenades Leni by holding a boombox over his head and blasting "Dairy Binds the World Together" at max volume a la Say Anything....
  • Singing in the Shower: Discussed by Leni, who apparently enjoys singing "Dairy Binds the World Together" in the shower.
