Lest Ye Become a Monster is the sixth episode of Netflix's 2022 series The Imperfects.
This episode contains examples of:
- Always Chaotic Evil: It's shown that Sponson views the "G Ps" this way (justified, since one did bite his nose off).
- Badass Boast: Crain gives one when explaining Flux's main goal"We're the reason people don't have to believe in Monsters".
- Ceiling Cling: Juan (in chupacabra form) ambushes one of the Flux agents in this way.
- Darker and Edgier: This episode is easily the darkest episode in the series (both literally and figuratively), with the group being hunted down by a black-ops government unit, forcing the trio to fight back using their powers.
- Insistent Terminology: During her introductory scene, Crain tells Abbi that Juan ate Sponson's nose. Juan is quick to correct her, and say that he bit it off rather than ate it.
- Let's Get Dangerous!: The Imperfects, after Flux push them one too many times, decide to use their powers to fight back.
- Little "No": Abbi gives a few when she believes that Hannah is dead.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Tilda is remorseful after she almost got Hannah killed.
- Offscreen Moment of Awesome:
- At one point in the episode, Juan (in chupacabra form) manages to take out two Flux snipers.
- An unnamed Flux agent gets one of his own not long after, as they manage to take down Juan (who was still in chupacabra form at the time) with a net gun.
- Oh, Crap!:
- Tilda and Juan both react this way when they realise they are under attack from Flux agents.
- A random Flux agent also has this when he sees Chupacabra!Juan clinging to the cieling before attacking him.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: All three of the Imperfects, who are generally quite calm and civil, start to snap when Flux start to push them one too many times. Bonus points to Abbi, who starts to show the angry side of her pheromones.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Abbi gives one to two Flux agents as she uses her pheromones to get them to shoot each other.''"I'm not the enemy, you are"
- Rage Breaking Point: Abbi reaches this after she believes Hannah has been killed and figures that Flux was testing their abilities, giving them an indirect "The Reason You Suck" Speech in the process.
- Took a Level in Badass: All three of the imperfects, who originally didn't have any control over their powers, start using them (while still not in full control) to take down Flux agents.
- Unflinching Walk: Abbi does this while using her pheromones to get two Flux agents to shoot each other, walking between the two of them without looking back.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
- Crain gives one to Sponson for letting his personal vendetta get in the way of his job (as well as Flux's own goals).
- Abbi gives an indirect one to Flux when she realises they want to perform tests on herself and her friends.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Sarkov tries to pull this off after Burke is taken prisoner by Flux, leaving his lab while take his belongings with him. Tilda is quick to call him out on this.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Abbi gives one to Tilda after the latter almost got Hannah killed.
