- Everyone Has Standards: The carriage driver for Adam and Bev is not pleased to hear he's been giving a ride to a mother and son on Valentine's Day and is quick to stop and bail.
- Hypocrite: Barry and Erica spend a good portion of the episode making incest jokes about the Schwartzes. In The Tag, they make more in front of Geoff who fires back by imitating Beverly and her constant inapropriate statements about her kids developing in her body during birth; one Right Behind Me response from Beverly is all it takes for Barry and Erica to chew him out on it.
- It's All About Me: Adam, depressed about being alone on Valentine's Day, calls out Beverly for dragging him on an evening planned by her for her to spend time together. This helps inspire her to take Adam to the school to make amends with Bria.
