- Batman Gambit: The security officer gets Hilary to invite him to her party in order to catch the real thief, Melinda.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: This is the only two partner to not have a cold open and also not have Will say “On the last Fresh Prince of Bel Air”.
- Homage: The final part of the episode is an extremely blatant one to Cinderella, with "Cindy" the waitress becoming Will's date. Her family life and experience at the party matches up identically with the Cinderella story, only being played with toward the end when she retrieves her missing shoe from Will and gives him her number instead.
- Literary Allusion Title: The title references the song "Someday My Prince Will Come" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a work not too far off from what the episode is paying homage to.
- Sticky Fingers: Melinda, who goes as Carlton's date to steal from his house.
- Unreliable Narrator: The episode eventually goes from being a Recap Episode to this as Will and Carlton make up fake stories about themselves, while still having the recap Framing Device.
- What Does She See in Him?: Will is appalled when Melinda decides who to go with based on physical attraction and chooses...Carlton. He takes the later revelation of her kleptomania as an indication that she went with Carlton due to being a psychopath.
