Meme and Mimimi meet each other in the hall and start to head to the roof together. As other students starts looking at Mimimi, Meme expresses amazement that she can be so confident about being the center of attention. Their walk is suddenly interrupted by the head of the school newspaper club, Toruru Kijineta, who has been trying to write an article about Meme. Due to Meme constantly disappearing before a picture can be taken of her, Toruru studied up on a certain trending topic and underwent some rigorous training that enables her to get a picture of Meme.
Meme is horrified to find her picture in the school paper, but Rentarou went around collecting all the copies that were printed and distributed. Chiyo, however, points out a side article announcing plans to get a picture of Meme's face under her bangs, and so Rentarou starts to head off to "negotiate" with the newspaper club regarding the matter. Hahari insists on handling the issue as the school's chairwoman, but Toruru successfully blackmails Hahari into submission.
Rentarou and the other girls offer to help however they can, and so Meme decides to undergo training of her own to escape Toruru's camera. To this end, Hahari dresses up Meme in a Playboy Bunny suit. Despite the harsher conditions, Meme's disappearing act only gets worse, as the other girls are easily able to find her. When night falls, Mimimi dons Meme's sweater, insisting that Meme should learn to be more confident in herself.
The next day, Toruru confronts Mimimi and Meme in the hall, opening a window to let in a breeze to blow back Meme's bangs. But when she snaps a picture, she finds that the picture she took was of Mimimi, not Meme. Her second attempt yields the same result, forcing her to sulk off in tears. It turns out that Rentarou came up with the idea of Mimimi serving as a decoy for Meme's disappearing acts after considering their personalities. As Mimimi attempts to christen this new technique, the wind from outside gives Mimimi a glimpse of Meme's face, causing her to disappear.
