''30_MINUTES.EXE" contains examples of:
- Body Uploading: Ryu gets sucked into cyberspace by RiCO in order to help deal with Shadaloo, even becoming a solo NetNavi, Ryu.EXE.
- The Cameo: Many characters appear in the form of Battle Chips, being used by Lan and friends to fight against Shadaloo and viruses.
- The Fishy virus is the art for the DashAtk battle chip. It also appears in the Valstrax V3 battle chip, getting blown away.
- A Red Arremer using a Satella virus like a minigun. The flavor text of the card implies this isn't just any red arremer, but the Red Blaze of Demon Village, Firebrand.
- Nina casts Typhoon.
- Gogandantess gets summoned by Roll, embarrassing her as he poses and boasts about his skill as a swordsman.
- A Diablos, a Poogie, and Valstrax all get chips. Diablos bursts out of the ground, the Poogie draws the attention of enemies, and Valstrax rushes through its opponents.
- Hsien-Ko tosses Mini Bombs, Metool helmets, and Swords out of her sleeve. Felicia also gets a Battle Chip, wearing a sort of cosplay of Nergigante called "Ruiner Felicia", performing an imitation of its Spike Divebomb attack.
- The Baby from the Beneviento House's basement charges through the terrain.
- Oichi appears holding onto an Anubis virus, hugging it as it spews poison.
- Post-Final Boss: Bass is treated like this in the expansion's lore, with the title of the card "After-Duel" (3ME 072) implying he shows up to pick a fight with MegaMan now that Shadaloo's defeated and Ryu got sent back to reality.
