"Jurassic Rampage" contains examples of:

  • Gasshole: Playing the Legendary unit card "Jungle Boss Congalala" spawns the "Dung Bomb" (COR 122) card into your EX pocket, implying Congalala's up to its usual poop slinging tricks.
  • Genki Girl: Eliza. Despite being shipwrecked and split-up from her friends, she never loses the smile on her face.
  • Introduced Species Calamity: "Invasive Species" (JR 040) shows the consequences of the Space-Time Rift as the T. Rex chases the form apex predator Congalala out of the jungle.
  • Lost Technology: In Amenoma's unit card (JR 024), she discovers what she believes to be a fancy teapot. Her tinkering with it with her hammer causes it to reawaken, revealing it to be Huitzil.
  • A Mother to Her Men: Lupo is dedicated to her Wolfpack, the secret art of her unit card (JR 045), has her holding the line as the other escape the flaming laboratory.
  • Mercy Kill: Lupo provides this to an unfortunate Triceratops, presumably the same one that Huitzil was firing at after reawakening.
  • No One Gets Left Behind: Despite Hunk's orders, Nighthawk went back to the island to pick him up and complete the mission. His unit card (JR 047) even has the two delivering the same dialogue from Resident Evil 2 (Remake)'s 4th Survivor Mode.
Hunk: "Nighthawk. Why'd you come back?"
Nighthawk: "I wanted to meet the Grim Reaper."
  • Robinsonade: The Monster Hunter Explore crew end up shipwrecked and split up after a Plesiosaurus capsizes their ship.
  • Time Travel: Dr. Kirk's Third-Energy Research causes a Space-Time Rift to open, kicking off the events of the expansion and flooding the island with dinosaurs.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: In "Stolen Reactor Core" (JR 082), Serges sends Dr. Kirk falling to his presumed death after he gets the Goddess' Birdcage reactivated again.
