Adiane, startled by the presence of the Princess Nia among humans, decides to leave but swears to return. Back at the Capital, Adiane is surprised to hear that the Spiral King has discarded her.After Adiane promises to exterminate the humans and avenge Thymilph, Viral wants to join her, but she beats him up with her scorpion tail.
Back on the Dai-Gurren, Kittan tries to interrogate Nia but doesn't seem to have much success, so he tells Simon to find out anything he can out of her. Simon tells Nia about why Team Dai-Gurren fights her father the Spiral King. He also tells her about Kamina and how he seeks to be like his bro. Nia insists that Simon shouldn't dwell on Kamina, causing Yoko to lash out at her.
Suddenly Adiane returns in her Sayrune. When Nia tells her that she wants to see her father, Adiane tells her that she's no longer a princess because the Spiral King himself has disposed of her. Simon tries to activate Lagann but to no avail. He tries to rescue Nia from Sayrune but the rest of Team Dai Gurren reach her before he does, with Yoko firing away at Sayrune. Just as the Dai-Gurren is about to crush the fallen Sayrune, Viral in Enkidu arrives to carry her away.
Nia is finally accepted by Team Dai Gurren. She is particularly grateful to Simon for coming to her aid, but he is too morose over not being able to be anything like Kamina.
