Mung reveals that during a trip to Dimension X, he encountered two beings who have claimed to have fought the Turtles before: none other than the foursome's old archenemies, Krang and the Shredder. Realizing that those with previous knowledge of the Turtles could benefit him, Dregg decides to have the two transported from Dimension X onto his ship, but the duo are hardly interested in an alliance and instantly come into conflict with him. It's the Turtles' past enemies vs. their present one, and they're caught in the middle!

- All Your Powers Combined: A dark example, as the episode ends with Dregg prepared to steal the power of the Turtles and mental skills of Shredder and Krang to make himself unstoppable.
- The Bus Came Back: Shredder and Krang return in this episode after they were last seen in "Turtle Trek."
- Enemy Mine: When the Turtles start to overpower the both of them, Shredder agrees to an alliance with Dregg. It doesn't last.
- Evil vs. Evil: Dregg spends as much time fighting Krang and Shredder as he does the Turtles.
- Eviler than Thou: Not long after the Turtles are captured, Shredder and Krang instantly betray Dregg and decide to steal both their extra mutated strength and Dregg's mental skills for themselves. Dregg anticipates this and has the two of them imprisoned, so they're the ones who'll be drained and he'll get everyone's strength instead.
- Unreliable Narrator: We see a flashback to a previous encounter with the Shredder and Krang the Turtles had as they described to Mung, which ends with the two defeating the Turtles and Krang squashing them flat. Both Dregg and Mung know that the two obviously lied to them since the Turtles are still foiling every single one of his schemes.
- Wham Episode: Shredder and Krang return. The Turtles end up getting defeated and captured. When Shredder and Krang attempt to betray Dregg, they're caught as well and the episode ends with Dregg going to steal everyone's strength.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: The cabbie who got abducted onto Dregg's ship along with the Turtles, April, Shredder and Krang attempts to bail after seeing the insanity he's been caught up in, but we don't know if he escaped or not.
