The Titans throw a Halloween party and invite the Justice League.
Tropes:
- Adults Dressed as Children: Though not technically adults, the Titans are still dressed embarrassingly young for their age when Robin has them act like little kids, complete with Elmuh Fudd Syndwome.
- Bait-and-Switch: When Raven, the Human-Demon Hybrid, says she knows how to make the party spooky, one would think she’d use her powers to create something terrifying. However, she conjures up a table of lame scares - “brains” (cold spaghetti) and “eyeballs” (peeled grapes).Raven: You didn’t really expect me to conjure real eyeballs and brains!
- Big Red Button: While not red, Wonder Woman presses a big button that says “Child Release Button” when the Titans give the Justice League their self-confidence back.
- The Cameo: The Titans invite the Justice League over for their Halloween party.
- Company Cross References: When the Justice League witches are captured by Robin, they are pulled out of the air and leave several bobby pins behind, just like Witch Hazel from Looney Tunes.
- Continuity Nod: Robin dresses as Li’l Dimples for the first time since the episode of the same name.
- Dramatic Thunder: Thunder crashes and lightning strikes when Raven says what the cackling in the distance sounds like: “Witches!”
- Faux Horrific: Starfire and Cyborg are very creeped out by Raven’s spaghetti brains.
- Robin is unimpressed however, and Beast Boy just wants to eat the peeled grape eyeballs.
- Forced Transformation: After drinking the witches brew, everyone in the Justice League turns into a witch.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: Beast Boy shows the social media feeds of Zatanna (whose username is “z4t4nn4”), Nightwing (whose username is “itsURboyNightwing” and has a photo of his abs as his profile picture), and Poison Ivy (whose username is “sticks_not_stones”).
- Halloween Episode: The Titans spend Halloween hosting a party for the Justice League.
- Magic Cauldron: Robin makes the titular witches brew in one, which ends up just being a fizzy grape punch.
- The Makeover: The Titans give the Justice League members a makeover to make them feel better about their witch forms and stop their assault on Halloween.Cyborg: So the only way to save those kids, is to make the witches feel pretty on the inside...Starfire: ...by making them look the pretty on the outside.
- Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: The other Titans explain to Raven that the grape soda witches brew only turned the Justice League into witches, not evil witches. They’re terrorizing the trick-or-treats because they’re upset that they can no longer live up to society’s unattainable beauty standards.
- Scary Flashlight Face: Robin does this when stressing to the other Titans that their Halloween party needs to be spooky.
- He also does this to the Justice League when they arrive at the party, but all they do is stare at him in awkward silence.
- Shoddy Shindig: The Titans’ party starts off as lame and awkward at best, but then they end up turning their idols into evil witches.
- Toilet Paper Trail: Robin comes back with toilet paper stuck to his shoe after checking to make sure the bathroom had enough potpourri.
- Visual Pun: When Raven says, “Let’s go save these kids!”, a cage is shown full of kids and a baby goat.
- Witch Classic: The Justice League turns into these, complete with green skin, warts, pointy hats, and Flying Broomsticks.
- Xtreme Kool Letterz: The spaghetti and grapes on Raven’s table are labeled as “brainz” and “eyeballz”.
