After Jin joined the GUAG, Reports that various Mooks in Area 13 were causing trouble. The GUAG sent Garrus Vakrian, Kain Highwind, Oichi, Millia Rage, and Litchi Faye-Ling to deal with the chaos. Kain, however, fears something about Litchi, but Millia calls him out on this, saying that Litchi was the one who believed Kain was good. Garrus stopped the quarreling between the two and ordered the group to engage battle. The group succeeded so far, with Litchi and Oichi heading for the underground base. However, Litchi was troubled in her past about her the medical bay in ruins. A man with green hair came to Litchi. Hazama, who in reality is Terumi Yuuki, goaded Litchi in working for the GUAE for Arakune's cure. Litchi turned on the switch, which summoned the voice of Oda Nobunaga, whose voice causes Oichi's eyes to go blank. The two departed the base.
Meanwhile, outside of the base, things were going well. Litchi returned to the group, asking if Millia is okay. All of a sudden, Oichi assaulted Millia, with Litchi departing, with Millia demanding an explanation for Litchi's change of behavior. While Kain and Garrus were dealing with Manikins, Litchi appeared to report to Garrus that the gate is shut. The lovely doctor hit the Archangel with her staff. Tears ran down her face, apologizing that she's betraying them. Terumi appeared, saying that she's one of them now, as well as taunting Garrus. Meanwhile, Kain, even without Garrus' help fought the Manikins while heavily wounded. He sees Millia unconscious, confirming his suspicions about Litchi. Then Hazama, while taking away Litchi, throws a Missile from Wesker, thus putting Area 13 in ruins.
After the smoke cleared up, Garrus regained consciousness to see Millia and Kain unconscious. Being the only one standing, Garrus fought the Manikins for days... until Shepard arrives Afterwards, the group retreated to GUAG HQ, where the group discussed the problems regarding Litchi and Oichi. Meanwhile, the Re-educational Facility was formed. Litchi was reading demotivational books, revealing Terumi lied.
