Sender: Vinnie C.
Strong Bad: (singing) I'm gonna check my email all of the time, doo doo doo...
Strong Bad gets an email from Vinnie C. asking "If you hate Homsar so much, why don't you kill him?" Strong Bad decides to take Vinnie at his word... exactly at his word.
Cut to the field where Homsar, a fellow who looks vaguely like a short, squat Homestar in a bowler hat, is standing around minding his own business.
Strong Bad: Hey, Homsar!
Homsar: Uh, yeah, what is it, Strong Baaa-yaaad?
(A "Heavy Lourde" drops from above and squashes Homsar)
Homsar: Uh, yeah, what is it, Strong Baaa-yaaad?
(A "Heavy Lourde" drops from above and squashes Homsar)
Back at the Tandy, Strong Bad announces that he feels a lot better getting that out of his system.
Strong Bad: Oh man, Vinnie. That feels so much better. Thanks a lot!
Tropes
- Anvil on Head: Homsar is squashed by a "Heavy Lourde".
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Homsar actually makes sense here. In all later appearances, he takes multiple levels in Cloud Cuckoolander and Talkative Loon, which some fans suspect is a side-effect of getting squashed by the Heavy Lourde.
- Hammerspace: The "Heavy Lourde" falls from out of nowhere.
- Remember the New Guy?: This is Homsar's first appearance. But the casual way Strong Bad agrees to kill him, and the way Homsar himself knows who Strong Bad is, suggests a long history between the two.
- Rouge Angles of Satin: The only reason Homsar is a character is due to Vinnie's spelling mistake. Incidentally, Heavy Lourde sounds like a misspelled version of Heavy Load.
- Shaped Like Itself: The name of the "Heavy Lourde" ("Lourde" means "heavy" in French).
- Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: Vinnie e-mails Strong Bad asking why he doesn't just kill Homestar. Strong Bad decides to do just that, but thanks to a mispelling in the e-mail, he goes after someone else.
Strong Bad: Okay, so until next time, keep sending me your questions, and I will keep making fun of your punctuation and spelling. I mean, answer them.
