Strong Bad sits down to answer the first in a long line of emails that he will ultimately receive. Said email comes from Abdi LaRue of San Diego, California, who asks Strong Bad if he takes off his mask and boxing gloves before he goes to bed.
Strong Bad: Well, that's a stupid question, Abdi. Do you take off your face and hands before you go to bed? And if so, are you some kind of robot? And if so, what kind of powers do you have? Do you use them for good, or for awesome? Would you like to join forces? I just happen to be the greatest criminal mind of our time. (signs his email "—Strong Bad")
As the very first Strong Bad Email, its contents, and its enigmatic sender, Abdi LaRue, would be referenced occasionally in future, particularly at a Milestone Celebration.note

- Ask a Stupid Question...: When Abdi asks if Strong Bad takes off his mask and boxing gloves before bed, Strong Bad retorts "Do you take off your face and hands before you go to bed? And if so, are you some kind of robot?"
- Continuity Nod: Strong Bad's very first email intro is based off of his "Who is the guy that wins all the contests?" song from A Jumping Jack Contest.
