The now Neuroi-controlled Warlock attacks and sinks the aircraft carrier Akagi. The Karlsland Trio return and seize control of the base from General Maloney. Bishop shoots down the Warlock, but it is able to merge with and assimilate the Akagi. The Strike Witches must then reunite to battle the Akagi-Warlock hybrid.


Tropes in this episode:

  • Airstrike Impossible: The core of the Akagi is too well protected, so the witches must fly into the Akagi to destroy it from the inside.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Maloney has been captured, the witches destroy the Akagi-Warlock hybrid and Gallia has been liberated. However, the witches still have to go their separate ways at the end of the battle and the Neuroi are still out there.
  • Book Ends: In the season premiere, "Magical Girl", Yoshika received a letter from her dead father Ichiro, convincing her to travel from Fuso to Britannia. At the end, Yoshika returns to Fuso only to receive another letter from him.
  • Breaking the Fellowship: While the Strike Witches reunite to fight the Neuroi and liberate Gallia, they are still disbanded at the end of the episode.
  • Cliffhanger: The season ends with Amaki crashlanding in front of Yoshika's home to deliver her a letter from Dr. Miyafuji.
  • Last Episode, New Character: Amaki Suwa of the Ardor Witches makes her debut in the last minute of the season.
  • Load-Bearing Boss: The Neuroi Hive falls apart after the Akagi-Warlock hybrid is destroyed.
  • The Mutiny: Barkhorn, Wilcke, and Hartmann stage a mutiny on Maloney and his men.
  • Put on a Prison Bus: Maloney is last seen being arrested by Minna, Barkhorn and Hartmann.
  • Title Drop: The title of the episode is the same as the title of the series.
