Part 1: Ahsoka and Rex encounter Bofin and are able to earn the servo-skull's trust by helping it hide from a rebel mob led by Samael.

Part 2: As the main body of the Republic's counterattack armada joins the space battle above Axum, Rollah Sendurran is faced with a seemingly unwinnable battle. Down on Axum's surface, the Axumite rebel army lays siege to the Basilica of Salvation as Genestealers join the fray.

Part 3: 1313 and the Cadians search for Shadrick. Aayla fends off a psychic assault by Jackal while she and Aquila Squad look for a missing Quinlan Vos. Bofin leads Ahsoka and Rex to the wrecked Faithful Flame where they "rescue" Farnus and an unconscious Nerva.

Part 4: Under Omega's command, the Republic counterattack armada forces Battlefleet Xek-Tek on the defensive, causing Rollah to nearly call for a retreat and abandon the Imperials fighting on Axum. Fortunately for the Imperials, they receive more naval reinforcements from Orion Phatris in the form of the Tempered Hands Chapter Fleet, the Adeptus Mechanicus, and a Rogue Trader guild. Below on Axum, the rebels manage to breach the Basilica's walls where Kombirr reunites with Samael and introduces Jenova to him.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Absurdly Sharp Blade: Lampshaded by Captain Rex when he lightly kicks away Farnus's knife and the blade still becomes embedded into a metal wall upon making the slightest contact.
Rex: How the frag do they get their knives that sharp?
  • Armor-Piercing Response: When Ahsoka and Rex's argument over whether the Imperials are Beyond Redemption gets heated, Rex gives Ahsoka an intense look as he demands to know what reason the Imperials could possibly have that would justify acting like complete monsters. Ahsoka's retort "That they think we ARE the monsters!" seems to get through to Rex and calm him down as his next words are asking just how exactly she plans to stop the fighting on Axum then.
  • Bilingual Dialogue: In Part 4, we have the conversation between Rollah Sendurran and Lesat Gamma. Rollah is speaking in High Gothic while Lesat is speaking in High Biniracal. Both can understand what the other is saying without the need for a translator.
  • Call-Back: While struggling against a psychic attack by Jackal in Part 3, Aayla recalls in her POV narration how she has overcome greater challenges than this in the past, specifically mentioning being drugged into becoming an amnesiac by her uncle and falling under the spell of Volfe Karkko as examples. Both of these incidents are from issues of Star Wars: Republic.
  • Cavalry Refusal: Subverted in Part 4. During the mid-to-late stages of the Battle of Axum, Orion sent the entirety of Battlefleet Xek-Tek to provide naval reinforcements to the Imperials occupying Axum. However, as the battle goes increasingly sideways with the Republic counterattack armada massively outnumbering Battlefleet Xek-Tek and some Imperial capital ships even getting outright destroyed, Lord Admiral Sendurran decides that the battle is no longer worth it and is about to give the order for her battlefleet to retreat, abandoning the Imperials fighting on Axum. However, she changes her mind at the last minute due to the arrival of even more Imperial naval reinforcements in the form of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Tempered Hands, and a Rogue Trader guild. With these new fleets now supporting hers, Rollah is convinced to continue with her attempt to hold back the Republic armada and evacuate the Imperial garrison on Axum.
  • Double Take: Ahsoka in Part 3 when Bofin informs her that there are still living pilots (Farnus and Nerva) inside the Imperial Knight trapped under the wreckage of Trench's flagship.
  • The Farmer and the Viper: Played with in Part 3 when Ahsoka saves Farnus after finding him and an unconscious Nerva trapped inside the wrecked Faithful Flame. Initially, Farnus is profoundly grateful and is about to thank his rescuer... until he sees what Ahsoka looks like. Upon realizing she isn't a human, he reacts how every Guardsman is expected to react when faced with a xeno and pulls out his laspistol. Even Ahsoka pointing out that she literally just rescued him isn't enough to stop him from trying to unload his sidearm into her while screaming at her to die.
  • In the Back: In Part 3, Captain Rex shoots Farnus in the back with a stun blast from his pistol when the Guardsman tries charging at Ahsoka with his combat knife.
  • Infraction Distraction: In Part 1, Ahsoka is trying to gain the trust of servo-skull Bofin-337 when Rex spots a mob of anti-Imperial freedom fighters heading their way. Not wanting the mob to destroy Bofin, Ahsoka hides it in a sack. When the leader of the rebel mob (an undercover Samael) notices how she's acting suspiciously with a bag, he inquires as to what is inside. Ahsoka is able to satisfy his curiosity and keep him from looking inside by lying that it contains the decapitated head of an Imperial that she was planning to eat, even showing off her fangs to make it more convincing.
  • Mistaken Identity: In Part 4, Kombirr and the other Axumite rebels assaulting the Basilica of Salvation's walls mistake some Ogryns defending the Basilica for Astartes.
  • Multi-Part Episode: This episode is divided into four parts which were each released separately.
  • Non-Answer: In Part 1, Ahsoka and Rex encounter Imperial servo-skull Bofin-337 wandering around the war-torn streets of Axum after it found Farnus and Nerva trapped inside a disabled Imperial Knight and left to Bring Help Back. While trying to gain Bofin's trust, Ahsoka is asked whether or not she serves the God-Emperor of Mankind. Not wanting to lie but also knowing that Bofin won't trust her if she tells the truth, Ahsoka recalls what she learned about the Admech's beliefs from her conversation with the Electro-Priest and simply replies that she is a "Knight of the Motive Force", which confuses the servo-skull as it is uncertain whether or not it can trust her.
  • Oh, Crap!: When Ahsoka rescues Farnus from being trapped inside a disabled Imperial Knight, the Guardsman is initially grateful towards his rescuer... until he finally gets a good look at her and has this reaction upon realizing she's not human.
  • Shockwave Clap: During the rebel assault on the Basilica of Salvation in Part 4, Jevona chants some magic words and claps her hands together, sending out a shockwave that sends five Sisters of Battle flying away and smashes them against the passageway of the Basilica's entrance wall. The impact of their armored bodies dislodges the entire wall, creating a gaping hole in it.
  • With All Due Respect: In response to Ahsoka's Enemy Compassion, Captain Rex says this to her in Part 3 before railing against the Imperials for all the war crimes they've committed during their occupation of Axum.
