Go To

Air date: September 24, 2007

"He Got Blame": Rodney goes into the blame-for-hire business, but encounters trouble while working with Kyle and Salty Mike.

"I Only Have Eye for You": Puggo goes to the mall with Andy and Rodney after sneaking away from the set.

"He Got Blame" contains example of:

  • Abusive Parents: Mr. J makes Andy walk around in nothing but his underwear for a week all because he got a mustard stain on his shirt. This includes going out half-naked outdoors.
  • Comedic Underwear Exposure: Andy's punishment where he is forced to walk around in his underwear is played humorously.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Mr. J was way out of line for taking away Andy's clothes and limiting him to underwear for a week all because of a tiny mustard stain (which he even admitted himself was a minor issue). Made all the more worse by the fact that it wasn't Andy's fault.
  • Misplaced Retribution: Andy gets a mustard stain on his shirt due to Rodney making a mess in the kitchen, but since Mr. J deems punishing Rodney ineffective due to his tendency to relapse into the same trouble every time, he punishes Andy instead.
  • Never My Fault: The beginning shows Rodney having made a mess in the kitchen, which he claims to have no recollection of creating, and hides behind Andy to avoid taking the fall. This becomes deconstructed when Rodney joins the blame-for-hire business dedicated to taking the blame for others' actions.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Rodney adopting the alter-ego of the Blame-Taker is a parody of Batman, with the same theme music playing and twirling initials on the screen during his montages.
    • One of Mrs. J's friends is a lady with an abnormally huge wart which enlarges when Rodney accuses Mrs. J of burning the dinner, which is an homage to Pinocchio's nose enlarging whenever he tells a lie.

"I Only Have Eye for You" contains examples of:

  • An Aesop: Celebrities are people too and have their own lives like us. Don't let your idolization of them turn into an exploit.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Andy and Rodney act like obsessive fanboys in Puggo's presence while talking fastly about their admiration of him.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Puggo randomly appearing when Andy opens his bedroom door suggests that he snuck away from the set outside and into the Johnsons' house while no one was looking.
  • Time-Passes Montage: Rodney and Andy wait outside for 26 days for Puggo to arrive while the sun and moon fluctuate.
