"More to Flower You": When Rodney accidentally kills Mr. Johnson's flowers, he and Andy must find a way to revive the plants before the big flower show before Mr. Johnson finds out.
"News It or Lose It": After they write several rumors about each other and put them in the newspaper, Andy, Rodney, and Mr. Johnson become embroidered in a newspaper crossfire.
"More Flower to You" contains examples of:
- Blatant Lies: Rodney insults the flowers as he walks off, which causes them to deteriorate, so he tells them that he was talking to the other flowers to make them grow again.
- Butt-Monkey: Mr. J, as usual (although, he at least wins the flower show).
- Cloudcuckoolander: Rodney, as usual. He has a strange belief about the growth of flowers.Rodney: If talking to flowers helps them grow faster, then yodeling to flowers must help them grow even faster!
- Cruel to Be Kind / Well-Intentioned Extremist: While Rodney and Andy may have purposely angered and humiliated Mr. J, they did to help his flowers grow, so they technically had good intentions.
- In Touch with His Feminine Side: This episode shows Mr. J's interest in flowers.
- It Makes Sense in Context: Mr. J wouldn't have won the flower show without the help of Andy and Rodney provoking and tormenting him.
- Jerkass Ball: Andy in the beginning joins Rodney in on mocking Mr. J's love for his flowers, and later he's shown deliberately provoking Mr. J along with Rodney (although they did this to help his flowers grow).
- Not So Above It All: See "Jerkass Ball".
- Sadist: The flowers are amused by Mr. J's anger and misfortunes.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Mr. J wins the flower show.
- Wedgie: This is one of the pranks Rodney pulls on Mr. J to anger him further.
"News It or Lose It" contains examples of:
- Bizarre Taste in Food: Mr. J is revealed to put fish on his ice cream.
- Call-Back:
- Mr. J's tendency to eat mayonnaise straight from the jar was previously referenced in "Ice Cream Anti-Social".
- The headline "Rodney wrong about himself again" that shows a picture of Rodney wearing a silly hat underneath is a reference to his Blatant Lies of the hat selling the sandwich in "A Line in the Sandwich".
- Extra! Extra! Read All About It!: Oh, but of course! It's an episode about newspapers, so this should be expected.
- Extreme Omnivore: Rodney is revealed to drink nail polish, mistaking Mrs. J's bath water for such.
- Not So Above It All: Despite his rationality and quick temper to people arguing over trivial things, Mr. J participates in Andy and Rodney's competition to see whose newspaper will catch Mrs. J's interest the quickest.
- Spell My Name With An S: Rodney questions if the newspaper publishers spelled his name wrong.
- Spinning Newspaper: There is a montage of spinning newspapers.
