Plot

The Mathnetters are appointed with watching over King Christmas Family Special III, the newly-crowned teenage king of Calpurnia/aspiring game show host during a business trip to New York. When negotiations fall through for their sole export, the chuckberry (already a victim of escalating prices and hampered by a news release of erroneous health concerns following the meeting), it's looking like the end for the country's economy...But could there be more to this financial disaster that could potentially bankrupt such a strategically-important nation?

Tropes

  • Alliterative Title
  • Calvinball: The game show board game "Wheel of Jeopardy".
  • The Cameo: Arthur Howard as Monty Carlo from the "But Who's Counting" segments of the main Square One TV show, seen during King Chris' ride through the city.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Used by Kaboom Pickens, it's revealed that a "Wheel of Jeopardy" game was what generated the suspicious serial numbers for the counterfeit kugels. How it was done
  • Fictional Sport: "The Dollar Game", simply poker played with the serial numbers of dollar bills. It's when they try to play it with the kugels they borrow from King Chris after consulting with Miss Sherwood on the authenticity of their currency that they suspect something isn't right about them. Namely, that no digit appeared more than once in each one, against some very steep odds. In part 5, they play it against Kaboom Pickens (Pat, in disguise as another interested buyer of Calpurnia, is supplied with legit kugels) to expose his unauthorized-printed funds.
  • Master of Disguise: Agent Ovitz. So skilled, he can take on an old lady, a dog, a llama, and a painting.
  • Miranda Rights: Agent Ovitz is heard dispensing this to Kaboom Pickens at the close of the episode. Making sure to give George a wink when he can't find him this time—Disguised as a wall painting.
