The sixteenth episode of the first season of Sonic Boom.
Tails gets accepted into a group of villains called the Lightning Bolt society after his berry-picking machine ruins an orchard.
This episode provides examples of:
- Brother Hood Of Funny Hats: The members of the Lightning Bolt Society all wear fezzes with fists holding lightning bolts on them.
- The Cuckoolander Was Right: At the beginning of this episode, Sticks picks Beige Berries as the secret ingredient, saying that nobody will suspect it unless one of the trees is a spy in disguise. It turns out that one of the trees is the Chameleon, a member of the Lightning Bolt Society in a tree costume.
- A Day in the Limelight: For Tails.
- Dumpster Dive: The Lightning Bolt Society steal Eggman's discarded inventions from his dumpster, much to Eggman's annoyance.
- Food Fight: The Lightning Bolt Society attempts to attack Sonic and Amy... by pelting them with anything they can find on the food table. It lasts roughly nine seconds and they don't land a hit once.Eggman: Really? That's all you could come up with? I'm not going to say it, but you know what I'm thinking... you dolts.
- Malicious Misnaming: Eggman refers to the Lightning Bolt Society as the "Lightning Dolt Society".
- Man-Eating Plant: The Lightning Bolt Society plant these in the forest, which Tails is unaware of at first, as he thinks they're seeds for Beige Berry trees. Near the end of the episode, Tails uses his berry-picking machine to help Sonic and his friends destroy the plants.
- Mobile Shrubbery: The Chameleon, one of the members of the Lightning Bolt Society, is always disguised as a tree. At one point, he tries to take his costume off, but the zipper is stuck.
- Musical Chores: Tails sings to himself as he constructs his berry-picking machine.Tails: Grab-claw's connected to the, trap-jaw... Trap-jaw's connected to the, scoop-maw... Scoop-maw's connected to the, positively-charged resistor-coupling ion-matrix!
- Shout-Out: When Eggman fears that the Lighning Bolt society teaming up with Sonic will never get him out of his trash, he exclaims "To the Egg Mobile!", and a Batman (1966)-style transition with Eggman's logo is shown.
- Tempting Fate: After Tails' berry-picking machine destroys the orchard, Tails tells Sticks that it could be worse, and that she at least still has the berries. Cut to the machine destroying the berries.
