Clark and Lois investigate Chloe's death, only to be routed by Lois' father General Sam Lane, whom Clark learns has recently been in contact with Lex. Suspecting that Chloe is still alive, Lionel hires a metahuman assassin to find and kill Chloe so she can't testify against him in court.

- Shower of Awkward: Lois barges in on Clark showering since he's taking too long. He freaks out and to leaves the bathroom only to find his mom right outside the door, who naturaly assumes the worst.
