J.D. wakes next to Elliott, with the chilling realisation that he doesn't actually love her. At the dress rehearsal for the wedding, Turk is tricked into a humiliating gaffe by Carla's brother. J.D. chooses that moment to come clean with Elliott - who responds by throwing him across a table. Elsewhere, Cox deliberately provokes an argument with Jordan to maintain the spark in their relationship.
- Rage Breaking Point: Although this is where Cox lives all the time, he crosses his own unique threshold when JD demands he admit to being his mentor in order to be freed from the janitors' duct tape in the morgue.
- Cox finally manages to get Jordan angry enough to fight by comparing her to her mother.
- Slap-Slap-Kiss: Cox is so committed to this aspect of his relationship with Jordan that he spends the episode picking fights with the people around him after she says "no more fighting".
- Soft Glass: Elliot shoves JD over a table after he says he doesn't love her. He lands on several wine glasses, which break, but which don't send him to the emergency room for dozens of stitches and possibly a kidney transplant.
- Troll: Carla's brother really hates Turk, so when he offers to write his vows, he writes the climactic speech from When Harry Met Sally....
