“Dearest Mamo-chan, listen to this! Rei is posing as a fortune teller so she can find out about Seiya and my secrets! Can you believe her?! Huh? Who does my heart belong to you may ask? Teehehehehe, you'll just have to watch and find out!”
Usagi Tsukino

Following the revelations involving their civilian identities, the Three Lights transfer out of Juuban High and intend to continue their princess-searching mission while cutting off contact with the Inner Guardians. Naturally, Usagi won't take their cold shoulder for a response and goes to them directly with some help from Rei. As this happens, Sailor Lead Crow is now forced to put up with her new partner, Sailor Tin Nyanko, while dealing with her grief for Sailor Aluminum Siren.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Adaptational Context Change: In the original version, after Minako brings up how the Three Lights are actually girls, she playfully comments on how her love life is officially over. In the Viz Dub, she comments on how she lost her shot at getting a famous boyfriend.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Sailor Moon realizes too late that she's about to be shot at with a laser bazooka. To her fortune and dismay, Seiya comes charging in to protect her from the attack.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": Lead Crow screams this at Nyanko when she won't stop badmouthing Siren.
  • Breaking the Fellowship: The episode ends with Maker and Healer deciding to end their friendships with the Inner Girls and refuse to have any association with them.
  • The Cavalry: The Inner Guardians show up in time to provide back up for Sailor Moon to defeat Sailor DJ.
  • Contrived Coincidence: Rei is initially worried about being spotted by someone she knows while pretending to be a fortune teller. And lo and behold, her first customer happens to be Seiya.
  • Death Dealer: Sailor DJ can throw CDs at his opponents that can cut through anything.
  • Downer Beginning: The episode starts with Usagi feeling down in the dumps over learning the truth about the Three Lights. It doesn't help that the boys don't show up for school the next day.
  • Downer Ending: Seiya ends up seriously hurt courtesy of Tin Nyanko, the remaining Starlights declare that they want nothing to do with the Inner Guardians and order them to leave them be, and Sailor Moon wonders if she really is the root of their misery.
  • Evil Overlord: Galaxia reminds the remaining flunkies that she intends to conquer every square inch of the galaxy, and that includes conquering every planet regardless of how insignificant it may be.
  • Fortune Teller: To Rei's annoyance, her grandpa (Remember that guy?) signed her up to be a fortune teller at the Juuban shopping district. She uses this gimmick to give some solid advice to Seiya and Usagi.
  • Friendship Moment: When Usagi visits her booth and is worried about how she can approach Seiya, Rei gives her a good pep talk on how she's better at taking action instead of waiting for things to happen and will always face her problems no matter what. She even gives Usagi her ticket to see the Three Lights in an upcoming radio show just so Usagi can confront Seiya.
  • Hypocrisy Nod: After Usagi laments that they didn't know the real truth about the Three Lights, Ami brings up how they weren't as honest about their own secrets either.
  • Imagine Spot: During the radio show performance, Seiya and Usagi imagine everyone having vanished while they take turns apologizing to each other.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Makoto openly brings up how Usagi looks down in the dumps. It isn't until she realizes that she's still mulling over the reveal of the Three Lights and the Starlights being one in the same.
  • It's All My Fault: Usagi takes the blame when Taiki and Yaten start to pick on Seiya for losing sight of his mission.
  • Jerkass: Taiki and Yaten consider using Sailor Moon and her team to draw Sailor Galaxia's attention away from them.
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": All the Guardians are horrified to see Seiya be critically injured while protecting Sailor Moon.
  • Mood Whiplash: The Sailor Animamates flee via their telephone booth while taking shots at each other's physical appearances. But as soon as they leave, the Starlights order the Solar System Guardians to leave them alone while blaming Sailor Moon for their misfortune.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The carefree and playful Usagi becomes more somber and serious as she reflects on the new dilemma involving the Starlights.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Yaten accuses Seiya of being so defensive about Usagi because she reminds him so much of their lost princess.
  • Rivals Team Up: Defied. Sailor Tin Nyanko offers to team up with Lead Crow so she can stay on Galaxia's good graces. But Crow makes it clear that she wants nothing to do with her.
  • Taking the Bullet: Seiya takes the full blast of Nyankos' laser bazooka while protecting Sailor Moon.
  • Tired of Running: After the Inner Guardians insist on handling Sailor Lead Crow by themselves, Sailor Moon counters saying that she won't run away from a fight anymore.
  • Skewed Priorities: Artemis points out that there are more important matters to the girls over worrying if they can still be friends with the Three Lights.
  • Speak Ill of the Dead: Nyanko continues to slander Aluminum Siren by referring to her as trash.
  • Unwanted Assistance: Lead Crow is not amused with seeing her new coworker show up with a bazooka when she was handling things on her own.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: Nyanko pulls out a kitty-themed laser bazooka to shoot Sailor Moon with a powerful laser shot.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Seiya orders his friends to stop pondering the idea of pitting Sailor Moon against Sailor Galaxia as it's just plain cruel.
    • Sailor Mars is offended when Star Healer accuses Moon of being the reason why everything has been bad for them..
