Recap / Rune Scape Regicide

Go To

King Lathas sends you a message when the Well of Voyage is repaired. Now the Underground Pass can be used again as a passage between Ardougne and Tirannwn, the land of the Elves. Your job is to find a better way between the two nations, and to kill King Tyras. An elf will stop you when you enter and ask you what you're doing- only to be killed by two other elves, who tell you to see Lord Iorwerth. Iorwerth is preoccupied with some elf rebels, but he'll help you with your task to commit regicide.

King Tyras never leaves his tent and won't let you in, so you'll have to destroy the tent with him in it. To do that, you make a bomb and use a nearby catapult (after distracting its guard) to hurl it into his tent. Ding dong, the tyrant is dead, and Iorwerth gives you permission to use the pass of Arandar and a magically sealed message to take to Lathas. Just before you can get back to him, however, you're stopped by an elf named Arianwyn. Arianwyn opens the letter for you and tells you to read it, and the contents are quite illuminating. There is indeed a Dark Lord threatening Tirannwn and a king of Adrougne is indeed helping him, but Lathas told you the story back to front. Lord Iorwerth is a servant of the Dark Lord, and Lathas was his agent in Adrougne. Tyras was the good king, and the elf rebels were La RĂ©sistance.

You are, of course, horrified by the news and promise to help Arianwyn. But for now, you should just take the report to Lathas and pretend nothing's wrong. Quest complete, You Bastard!.
