D'Arcy has skiing qualifiers and invites her friends along. However, she has started getting addicted to painkillers and becomes increasingly aggressive in getting them. Even Harry shows concern for her.
Asta finds a letter with her mother's address Dan had been hiding from her. She and Harry go to meet her but it doesn't go as she had hoped and she leaves.
Harry concludes the invaders are Alpha Draconians and leaves a message for them to stay away. He is proven wrong when The Greys show up and tell him to cut it out.
Tropes
- Actor Allusion: The Grey, played by George Takei, says “Oh my” shortly after showing up.
- Are We There Yet?: Harry acts like a child while in the backseat of D'Arcy's car and keeps asking if they are there yet.
- Bait-and-Switch Comment: The meeting with Asta's mother didn't go well. Harry ends it with some advice for her... to smoke more.
- Bedroom Adultery Scene: The episode opens with a man returning home and finding another man in bed with his wife. Given that he grabbed an ax before coming in, he was expecting it.
- Big Damn Reunion: Subverted. Asta reunites with her birth mother after all these years but she is apathetic at best. She leaves that meeting feeling worse than she did before.
- Brick Joke: The episode opens with a man coming home to find his wife/girlfriend in bed with another man and starts chasing him around with an ax. At the end of the episode, D'Arcy stops her car when a naked man runs across the road. The camera pans out to show the house from the start of the episode.
- Crop Circles: Harry compares crop circles to emojis and leaves a rather rude one for the Alpha Draconians.
- Death Glare: When Asta's mother tells a caller that she is doing "nothing important" after Asta has been desperately trying to connect with her, Asta looks crushed while Harry gives her a look of scathing contempt.
- Food as Bribe: D'Arcy uses churros to get Harry to come to her tryouts. Then again to get him to refill her prescription when he refuses.
- Incurable Cough of Death: Possibly. Asta's mother is a heavy smoker, and has a spell of coughing so hard that she can't speak or catch her breath. Harry, who is completely disgusted with her indifferent dismissal of Asta, gives her some advice when leaving.
- Harry: "As a doctor...smoke more."
- I Know Your True Name: The Grey knows Harry's overly long and unpronounceable name. Harry comments on how it sounds with his accent.
- Noodle Incident: D'Arcy doesn't want to clean pee out of her backseat... again.
- Potty Emergency: Harry claims he has to pee to get D'Arcy to stop the car when he sees a sign for a UFO landing site.
- Timey-Wimey Ball: Harry's explanation of how time travel works is nonsensical. He gives up and admits his people never figured it out.
- Wrong Assumption: Harry believes the invaders are Alpha Draconians, as they are one of two races that use portals and The Greys never cared about Earth beyond probing humans. He is proven wrong when one shows up to complain about the message he sent to the former.
