  • Break Them by Talking: Quinn tries to force Veronica to reveal all her knowledge by giving her a "The Reason You Suck" Speech about how she's out of her depth and causing innocent people to die in her quest to have Lincoln exonerated. While she's shocked by his revelations that her ex-fiancé and Leticia Barris are both dead, she refuses to give in.
Quinn: So, Miss Donovan, how is that background in real estate law goin' for you? It's big help? Hmm? Well, frankly, I think we caught a break. If Lincoln had nailed a girl with half a brain, she probably would've brought this whole thing down already. But you know what the worst part is? That you dragged these people into this, knowing that you had no clue how to get them out. I mean, if you had just minded your own business, people like Leticia Barris, she wouldn't have a mouthful of maggots right about now. Your fiancé would not be lying in his apartment waiting for the smell of his rotting corpse to let the neighbors know that something had gone horribly wrong. That's right. Their deaths are on your head. You made this mess. Nobody else. You. But you're also the one person that can end it all right here. All I need to know is who else you've involved.
  • Call-Back: In the eight episode, Westmoreland shot down Michael's theory of him being D.B. Cooper by saying that he was incarcerated in Folsom when Flight 305 was hijacked. When Michael says he checked this alibi to be correct, Westmoreland reveals that it was actually his father, Charles Westmoreland Senior, who was locked up when the plane was hijacked by Charles Westmoreland Junior.
  • Diagnosis from Dr. Badass: Quinn tells Nick why he isn't concerned when the latter attempts to attack in his wounded state.
Quinn: I've come to a realization that either Miss Donovan and that boy don't like you very much, or they have an unreasonable amount of faith in your cardiovascular system. […] Mr. Savrinn, that bullet went through your teres major, ripped the lateral margin of your scapula, leaving you absolutely no medial rotation of your arm. So you try to swing that piece of lumber at me… [Nick tries to attack, only to cry out in pain] …it's gonna feel like your arm is ripping out of its socket.
  • Foreshadowing: Quinn's monologue to Nick alludes to a later revelation that Nick is helping Veronica partly because Abruzzi — who wants to have a bargaining chip over Michael and Lincoln — has tasked him to keep an eye on her.
  • I Have a Family: Quinn makes this claim when Kellerman and Hale leave him to die in the well.
  • I Lied: Westmoreland admits that his earlier denials about him being D.B. Cooper were lies.
Michael: I seem to remember several conversations that ended with, "I am not D.B. Cooper."
    Westmoreland: I lied.
    Michael: You lied?
Westmoreland: We're cons. We tend to do that.
  • Ironic Echo: Quinn tries to appeal to Kellerman and Hale by saying that despite the way he treated them earlier, they're all ultimately just trying to "tie up some loose ends". Kellerman uses those same words only seconds later as he covers the well, leaving Quinn completely trapped.
Quinn: You got bosses, I got bosses, but at the end of the day we're all on the same team. Right? Just trying to tie up loose ends.
Kellerman: I could not agree more. [pulls a cover over the well] Just tying up some loose ends.
  • Sadistic Choice: Quinn gives Veronica a choice of being able to take the bleeding Nick to a hospital in time in exchange for telling Quinn everything she knows about Lincoln's case and whom she has involved in it.
Quinn: You decide whose life is more valuable. The guy waitin' to die on death row, or the guy wishin' he'd die out in the woodshed.
  • Spiteful Spit: Kellerman does this right after covering the well Quinn's trapped in.
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Quinn rubs his face into a bloody mess before he knocks on the cabin door, pretending to have been injured in a car crash. Once Veronica, Nick and LJ have let him in, he shoots Nick and takes them hostage.
