Tropes

• The Ace: Averted when Kat finally finds the one thing she's not good at: making purses. Adam and Tanya lampshade it when they find her moping about the purse she made being so ugly.
  "C'mon, there had to be something you're not good at."
• Beware the Silly Ones: The Impursonator is considered useless and laughable, but it's able to take on all the Zords and withstand various finishing moves.
• Big "SHUT UP!": Rita's response to Finster trying to find an upside to her accidentally creating a purse monster.
• Chekhov's Gag: Kat's ugly purse ends up being the basis for the surprisingly powerful and effective Impursonator.
• Deadpan Snarker:
  Rita: I need to think.
  Zedd: Oh, now we're in trouble.
• Deus Exit Machina: As the Zeo Rangers retreat, King Mondo teleports the Impursonator away so it won't destroy them before he can.
• From Bad to Worse: Billy's Rapid Aging gets increasingly worse. Then Cog-Changer's sabotage of the Zeo Megazord kicks in, going on a rampage with Billy trapped inside.
• He's Back!: King Mondo.
• Hope Spot: With the water that Jason retrieved, Cestro again tries to use the regenerator to de-age Billy. Billy's face briefly reverts to his normal age, only to immediately snap back.

  Klank: Zedd and Rita have just made a monster from a pink purse, your Highness.
  Sprocket: A purse monster? That's so last season.
• No-Sell: None of the Zords' finishing moves so much as scratch the Impursonator.

  King Mondo: The final defeat of those putrid Power Rangers is mine and mine alone!
  Rita: That tub of rebuilt parts isn't grabbing my glory!
• O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The teens are surprised when they see Bulk and Skull actually studying for a test to get their detective licenses.
• Plot-Relevant Age-Up: Billy.
• Rapid Aging: Billy again. He attributes this to a side-effect from using the Regenerator device after Master Vile turned back time.
• Screw This, I'm Outta Here: With Mondo repaired, Gasket and Archerina flee in order to plan out their next move.
• Spanner in the Works: Rita had intended to use her new staff to turn Kat into a monster. However, as Rito and Goldar fought over a seat in the RV, Rita suddenly dropped her staff and the purse got hit instead. For whatever reason, Rita never considers to shoot at Kat again.
