Tropes

  • Adapted Out: Due to the difference in backstories between series, the whole plot with the former Red Ranger demanding the return of the Ranger Keys is not adapted.
    • When the Rangers are fighting without Noah, a number of individual Legendary Ranger Modes from unadapted Sentai are omittednote  while yet others are retained as "New Powers"note .
  • Back-to-Back Badasses: Troy and Noah.
  • Behemoth Battle: Legendary Megazord vs. Matacore.
  • Broken Aesop: Jayden tells the Rangers to heed their instincts (IE: Fight strategically) to sense the opponents' moves. (Thus the overall Aesop translating to "don't rush into things," which the Rangers did the moment they saw Vekar prior.) However, the final fight was instead almost completely against an X-Borg horde; and after the Mega Rangers just rush in a second time, Matacore is taken out with little more than a MacGuffin-powered attack (and the stock Finishing Move).
  • The Cameo: This episode sees the return of Jayden Shiba and Mentor Ji.
  • Compressed Adaptation: A tribute to Power Rangers Samurai, this single episode adapts Gokaiger's two-part Shinkenger arc.
  • Defeat Equals Explosion: Befalls Matacore both times.
  • Make My Monster Grow: Done by Levira to Matacore.
  • Monster of the Week: Matacore
  • Transformation Sequence: The Super Mega Rangers morph in homage to Samurai.
