Adapted Out: There were two monsters in the Gingaman two-parter the episode used footage from. Only Gasser is used in this episode and the other, Torbador note Who does show up as a background monster named Sledge later in the season., is nowhere to be seen. This is also why the Megazord battle lasts barely a few seconds.
"Hey, You!" Haymaker: While hiding behind a bush, Matthew accidentally drops a plier. A Stingwinger heard it and was about to look behind when Furio shouted "Hey, You!" at the Stingwinger, telling it to "stop wasting time" and continue with the attack.
Little Stowaway: A young Child Prodigy named Matthew, is revealed to have stowed away on board of Terra Venture, but got home sick and tries to hack the ship's controls to make it fly back to Earth. When he is caught, he is told that going home is no option and he is put in the care of Damon. When Matthew helps stop Furio from accessing Terra Venture's control base, the grateful rangers give him a ride back to Earth in the Astro Megaship.
The Needs of the Many: Commander Stanton reluctantly tells Matthew that he can't turn the entire colony around for the sake of one person.
Shoot Out the Lock: When trying to get to the room from where a mysterious hacker is taking over Terra Venture's controls, Kai grabs a gun and prepares to invoke this trope, but Damon stops him since he know he'll have to repair the lock again. He then uses his mechanics skills to force the lock open.
